Alexander Skarsgård has made a career out of playing complicated dudes. His turn as Eric on "True Blood" is multi-layered, especially now that he's come back from his bout with amnesia.
"They're writing the season right now and there's a great opportunity here 'cause old Eric is back, but it's not the old Eric, 'cause he still remembers the love with Sookie and that changed him," he explained of the plot twist.
And, we have to say that in "Straw Dogs," which hit theaters last week, he plays equally complicated Charlie. Something he said he wanted to bring to his portrayal of the small-town guy still pining over his former love, played by Kate Bosworth.
"And there was a sadness there that I wanted to capture," he said of his "Straw Dogs" character. "I didn't want to make it easy for the audience. I wanted to be more interesting than that."
Have you ever wondered why Alex plays guys with so many emotions—both good and bad—coursing through their veins? Well, he gave us the reason. An answer which amused us.
"I'm a complicated man, yes," he said, leaving us wanting more, as most complicated guys do. Well, Alex, we've got some time on our hands to try and figure you out.
