Talk about suffering for your art—the "Mortal Instruments" cast is taking their roles very seriously. First Jamie Campbell Bower (a.k.a. Jace Wayland) told us that he was seriously considering getting a real tattoo, something akin to the runes his Shadowhunter character has on his skin to help him fight demons.
And now, is it possible that pretty, innocent-looking Lily Collins might consider following in Jamie's footsteps? MTV News hit her up at the "Abduction" premiere recently to find out. But we had to break the news about Jamie's intentions.
"Go Jamie!" Lily said, genuinely surprised at hearing the news. "[That's] very dedicated. He is Jace inside and out," she added. "I'm so exited we decided to go with Jamie, he's awesome. I've said it before but I'll say it again, he walked into that room and stole the show, and I'm really, really excited. But that's great! Go get a tattoo, Jamie!"
We then turned the tables on Lily and asked if she'd be willing to get a permanent reminder of her character Clary Fray. And even though we know she's totally and completely dedicated to the role, we were genuinely surprised by her answer.
"You know, I might. Henna first, and see if I like it," she said. "Make sure I want to keep it for a long time, and then go permanent."
