This is one alien invasion we're embracing with open arms.

News from the big-screen adaptation of "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer's other project,"The Host," has been slow in coming, but it looks like two of our most anticipated book-to-movie casting announcements are on the horizon.

Variety is reporting that a slew of young men are reading for the roles of Jared and Ian, the two loves of main characters Melanie and Wanderer. As you may recall, 17-year-old Saoirse Ronan has already been cast as the dual lead.

The report indicates that Liam Hemsworth, Kit Harington ("Game of Thrones"), Jai Courtney ("One Shot") and Max Irons ("Red Riding Hood") are testing for Jared, while Dane DeHaan ("True Blood"), Thomas McDonnell ("Prom"), Augustus Prew ("Charlie St. Cloud") and Jake Abel (Saoirse's co-star in "The Lovely Bones") are testing for Ian.

With just four days until our MTV First special on "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1"—complete with never-before-seen clips from the film and interviews with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner—we're getting antsy in the pantsy for our last-minute exclusive peek at the crushworthy culmination of Edward and Bella's big day. But before we get cracking on picking our new favorite moments from the penultimate chapter of "The Twilight Saga," we're counting down the top five fan favorite moments (voted by you!) from the
"Twilight" movies we've already seen... and today, we've got your official No. 5. The verdict:

Robert and Taylor's snarky sniping over a sleeping KStew in the "Eclipse" tent scene!

The filmmakers may have been trying to skew viewers in favor of this one; Rob even confessed, "I think they tried to make it more erotic!" when he told us about some last-minute reshoots of the pivotal scene. But fun as it was to watch our favorite Forks hotties get snippy in the wilderness, this fan favorite moment still came in behind some of the more, er, explicit sexiness of scenes like the "leg hitch" from "Eclipse" or the first kiss in "Twilight."

Kim Kardashian Kris HumphriesFROM MTV NEWS: Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries said "I Do" in an elaborate, very public ceremony over the summer, and now comes word that the reality starlet and her basketball player hubby are calling it quits just 72 days after tying the knot.

TMZ reported that Kim filed for divorce from Humphries on Monday (October 31), coincidentally the scariest day of the year. Sources told the site that Kim is not seeking an annulment and cites "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the split.

The couple reportedly have a prenuptial agreement and celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser has been tapped to represent Kardashian. According to TMZ, the pair's $10 million wedding cost approximately $138,888 a day as of October 31. A rep for Kim had not responded to MTV News' request for comment as of press time.

It’s Halloween—everyone’s favorite time of the year to dress up as someone entirely different! We hope you all have your costumes ready, but if by chance you don’t (you only have a few hours left!), Demi Lovato gave us some advice of what not to wear when going trick-or-treating.

"They should put on clothes. Put on clothes!" Demi exclaimed. "Girls that walk around with skimpy little costumes, don’t do that! It’s not cute, cover it up!"

Confession: There is nothing I love more than a great bromance. Whether between real-life guy friends, two fun characters on TV or the actors who play them. There's just something adorably warm and fuzzy about affection shared and expressed between two dudes.

The men in the "True Blood" cast are especially bromantic, and it's awesome. (My favorite example: That scene in the season three finale, when Eric says to Alcide and Bill: "If you two are done eye-f---ing each other, can we go?") In addition to Alexander Skarsgård recently hinting at more Bill-Eric moments, MTV News had a chance encounter with Stephen Moyer, who's equally enthused about the idea.

Before we approached Stephen with the bromance angle, however, we wondered if he'd had a chance to read the season five scripts yet, which we knew were delivered to the cast members recently.

"How did you hear that?" a suspicious Stephen asked when we chatted with him at TeenNick's HALO Awards. (We're MTV, yo. We've got people.) "Yes we did [get them]. I haven’t read it yet. I haven’t had a moment to. It’s been busy the last few weeks and days, so I haven’t had a chance," he admitted. "I was talking about it today, I really must. Anna [Paquin] hasn’t read it either."

Adam HarringtonBoo! Did we scare you? No? Okay, well, maybe a fright-night feature will get your knees knocking. In anticipation of Halloween, we asked a slew of celebrities to suggest their favorite scary movies to get you in the mood for the ooky, spooky holiday.

You probably know today's guest blogger, Adam Harrington, best as Adam Conant's dad, Ethan, on The CW's "Secret Circle." Which flick scares Adam? "Encounter With the Unknown"!

"A boy loses his dog in the woods in Missouri, nearby they find a mist-shrouded hole that moans and growls. When the boy’s dad is lowered by rope down the hole to find the dog, he starts screaming and when they pull him up, he's gone insane and his face changes colors."

Another day, another stop for the "Breaking Dawn" cast as they count down to November 14 and the big world premiere! This time, the cameras caught up with Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed in Italy, where the film had a special screening at the 6th International Rome Film Festival.

Nikki looked ethereal in a wispy white dress with a plunging halter neckline—very apt for the recently wed actress—and Jackson sported a natty look that even Southern gentleman Jasper Hale would approve of, wearing a three-piece suit complete with a classic watch-chain and a pair of fierce-looking boots. The pair's red-carpet appearance was hailed by a throng of thrilled "Twilight" fans, who packed the sidelines near the theater entrance in the hopes of glimpsing their favorite vampires.

If most pop-culture portrayals are to be believed, wardrobes of the future will consist of abstract amalgamations of Jane Jetson and Lady Gaga's abandoned articles. (Seriously, EVERYONE in 2130 will be wearing bubble suits. Promise.) However, for the futuristic thriller, "In Time," Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood took a pleasantly restrained approach to dressing the gaggle of perpetual 25-year-olds portrayed in the film, headlined by Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

"To me, when you look at really great imagery in fashion from all times, there's something—you can still look at stuff from the '30s and it looks incredibly modern. The design elements sort of have that feeling," Colleen explained. "With this, we were sort of going with that attitude—a sort of more minimal approach to it as opposed to getting a lot of bells and whistles for the future. My idea was that the near future there's always an element of classicism in design, and I sort of went with classic lines and sort of more futuristic surfaces."

"Pretty Little Liars" provides viewers with a mixture of thrills and suspense—a perfect recipe for Halloween fun. So when we visited the set of the ABC Family series, we asked the cast what movies they usually tune in to for a scare or just to get into the Halloween spirit.

Lucy Hale, who plays Aria Montgomery on the series, enjoys the classics. "I like 'Psycho' or 'The Shining,' but that’s more of a thriller. But I like the older scary movies," she said.

Fashionistas love a good sculpted shoulder—no, not the kind you get from doing yoga every day, but the kind that comes built-in on a daring designer dress. Playing dress-up with epaulets, pads or poofy accents is a fun way for more daring starlets to push the fashion envelope, with shape and texture that gives a classic red-carpet look some architectural zing. But while several actresses sported shapely, shoulder-enhancing frocks this week, only one earned the right to the Style Superstar title. Whose cool silhouette won the honors this week? And whose big, billowing look fell just a little too flat?

This week's Style Superstar has been out of the spotlight lately, but when she appeared on "Good Morning America" in an Antonio Berardi dress, Eva Longoria reminded us all that she's still a force to be reckoned with. The "Desperate Housewives" star looked perfectly polished in a sophisticated pencil dress with clean, white lines—and that sculptural accent at her shoulder gives the look a nice little pop of unexpected whimsy. Combined with nude shoes and neutral makeup, Eva's look is a winner: professional and respectable, but still fashionably fun.
