We're getting super, extra-close to the official release of "Footloose," the hotly anticipated reboot of the most important film ever to feature two dance-happy gentleman washing a Volkswagen! And while we count down the days until the movie hits theaters, we've been hearing from "Footloose" stars Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough via video diary—checking in with them as they tour the country in anticipation of the moment when EVERYBODY CUTS.
And this time around, we got to check in with the pair as they traveled from Arizona State University to San Francisco and beyond, meeting and greeting their fans along the way!
The video opens at ASU—"One of the best party schools in the country," Kenny notes, and the super-excited teenagers dressed in '80s gear are doing their part to back up that reputation. We've never seen people screaming on their way into the theater before! Or, um, busting out their best moves by the concession stand. Clearly, this movie makes people want to DANCE.
And after a few high-energy clips from the film, the party continues in San Francisco, where Kenny and Julianne head to a mall for a screening and photo ops with more excited fans. This crowd is a little more staid than the previous one—alas, there is neither screaming nor dancing as they leave the theater—but they've got nothing but good things to say about this movie's return to the big screen, including the brave fan who admits that the new "Footloose" is... even better than the original.
OH YES SHE DID.
