Boo! Did we scare you? No? Okay, well, maybe a fright-night feature will get your knees knocking. In anticipation of Halloween, we asked a slew of celebrities to suggest their favorite scary movies to get you in the mood for the ooky, spooky holiday.
You probably know today's guest blogger, Thomas Dekker, best as hottie witch Adam on The CW's "Secret Circle." Which flick casts fear in Thomas' heart? "Poltergeist"!
I am obsessed with horror movies, so it's nearly impossible for me to pick one. However, with Halloween coming up, I'd say the best one to get you and a group of friends in the mood is the brilliantly executed "Poltergeist." I first saw it when I was about eight years old, and it absolutely terrified me. When JoBeth Williams falls in the pool and dozens of rotting corpses bob up beside her, it scared me from swimming in any pool for about a year. Even in daylight! This idea that a perfectly normal suburban neighborhood can harbor a secret so dark and a haunting so immense really places you in the shoes of the terrorized family. You can imagine it happening to you no matter where you live.

Every year at Halloween, we spend hours trying to come up with the perfect pop-culture costume: that magical combination of Totally Original and Instantly Recognizable that makes everyone throw up their hands with envy and say, "Why didn't I think of that?!" (Note: Most years this endeavor ends in miserable failure after we waffle on our options until the last minute, come up with nothing and finally head to the store only to find that the good costumes are all already taken and we have no choice but to dress up as a zombie turnip. Again.)
But this year, after much pondering, we have a whole week's worth of costumes from this year's most talked-about shows, books and movies that are sure to be a hit at any party you attend. And first up:
KATNISS EVERDEEN.

Of course, every "Hunger Games" fan and their mother will probably show up at a party in Katniss paraphernalia—which is why we're offering a twist on what will probably be one of this year's more popular motifs. Rather than donning the drab black attire that Katniss wears in the arena (and that appeared briefly in the teaser trailer earlier this year), may we suggest that you dress as The Girl On Fire... on fire?
First things first: You will not actually be setting yourself on fire. Repeat, YOU WILL NOT BE SETTING YOURSELF ON FIRE. (And we are not liable for any hurty, burny injuries sustained to your person if you ignore the previous warning.)

The gossip around the schoolyard is true: Chord Overstreet's Sam Evans will once again walk the halls of McKinley High!
Last week, TVLine reported that Chord was in talks to return to our favorite Fox musical series, "Glee," and today The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the 22-year-old will appear in a multi-episode arc beginning in December.
“We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back,” creator-executive producer Ryan Murphy said in a statement. “So here's an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks—Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!”

With less than a month until "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1" officially hits theaters, Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene kicked off the flick's many, many, many premieres and publicity events over the weekend in Paris. All we can say is: oui, oui!
The duo looked lovely in designer duds (Ashley was in Givenchy and a scruffy Rob was in Dolce & Gabbana) as they graced the carpet on Sunday. While RPattz and AGreene certainly looked excited about the premiere, the next four weeks will be quite the whirlwind for the duo, as well as the rest of the cast of the film. With a number of promotional appearances slated in the lead-up to the big world premiere, which will take place in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre on November 14. Mark your calendars, obvi.

You know him as the hunky star of "One Tree Hill" and "How to Make It in America"—but if you knew Bryan Greenberg in high school, you'd have known him as a class-clown-turned-persona-non-grata due to his prankish public announcements. (Aha! We knew that adorably smirky, quirky grin was hiding a past full of shenanigans.) And in this clip from Bryan's upcoming appearance on "When I Was 17" (airing Saturday at 11 a.m.) he reminisces about the time that a PSA went SNAFU.
"I did the announcements for the high school," Bryan recalled. But for his teenage self, the usual notes about club meetings, ball games and bake sales just weren't fun enough to make the job worthwhile. And, he explained, "we quickly became bored of just reading the agenda and we would make up our own stuff."
A sample of Bryan's off-the-cuff fakey announcements:

Six episodes in, and it's clear that though they be magic neophytes, you don't want to mess with the young witches of Chance Harbor. Further proof? This new, darkly delicious "Secret Circle" poster we nabbed EXCLUSIVELY from The CW.
The moody image features stars (from left to right): Shelley Hennig, Chris Zylka, Phoebe Tonkin, Britt Robertson, Jessica Parker Kennedy and Thomas Dekker, all at their brooding best. And with the tagline, "Fight Fire With Fire," we have to assume that viewers haven't seen the last of the kind of pyrotechnic performances we witnessed during "Wake."

From the runways to the red carpet, patterns are seriously in play this year. Lately, we're seeing more actresses eschewing clean whites and basic blacks for outfits that incorporate a lot of bold, bright colors and complex prints—and this week, fab patterned frocks were the look of choice for many a young Hollywood fashionista. Whose Rorschach test of a dress made us mental for her savvy style? And whose busy head-to-toe look went awry just past the ankles? Check it!

Considering the cast, it's no surprise that this week's Style Superstar turned up at the premiere for "In Time;" with so many stylish people in one place, we were bound to find a winner. And check out Amanda Seyfried, who looks like a star—literally!—in this Prabal Gurung dress, which features a plunging deep-V back and nebulous purple print that looks like something photographed by the Hubble space telescope. This is a bold choice of frock for any actress; a fabric like this can sometimes make it look less like you're wearing the dress, and more like the dress is wearing you. But Amanda is more than fierce enough to pull it off, finishing off her look perfectly with smokey eye makeup, simple black platform heels and a similarly uncomplicated black bracelet. Plus, those pleather accents at the waist and collar are a nice nod to the sci-fi/futuristic role she's playing (because, as we all know, fashion in the distant future consists exclusively of black latex catsuits.)

Witch hunters, boozy revelations, a huge breakup, a girl stabbed in the throat and a short novel's worth of new layers of "Secret Circle" mythology? If we didn't know better, we'd have thought "Wake" was the season finale. But we're still only six episodes in!
"I broke up with Adam," Diana tearfully tells Cassie, late in the episode.
"What happened?" Cassie asks.
"You."
Talk about a shakeup in the central love triangle. And that wasn't all. The last two episodes of "The Secret Circle" have accelerated to a freight train pace as the mysteriously interlocking web of Chance Harbor's past, present and future continued to be revealed.

As per usual, so much crazy stuff happened on last night’s episode. Like, Tyler was creepily loyal to Klaus! The kids actually went back to school! Stefan and Rebekah enrolled too! Matt tried doing some magic for dummies and then Bonnie had to reverse the spell! And Jeremy totally emotionally cheated on Bonnie with Anna, again! But, as you may have expected, I don’t really care about any of it, because all I can care about is the fact that Katherine succeeded in awaking Mikael. AND HE STARTED TO FEED ON HER! THAT IS RIGHT! THE VAMPIRE WHO KILLS OTHER VAMPIRES MAY HAVE KILLED KATHERINE AND I AM FREAKING OUT LIKE NEVER BEFORE AND IF SHE IS DEAD I SWEAR TO EVERYTHING THAT IS HOLY THAT I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER FORGIVE JULIE PLEC AND KEVIN WILLIAMSON.
Ahem. Apologies for the outburst. Now that I think about it, I do kind of care about the other things. Just not as much as I care about Katherine. OMG, I can’t even type her name without freaking out. Somebody help.
OK. Let’s focus on something calming. Like explaining every not calm, incredibly crazy-important thing that happened last night.

Classes won't be back in session at McKinley High until November 1 (thanks a lot, baseball), but we're already getting our first look at transfer student Rory, whom you may also know as "Glee Project" winner Damian McGinty.
Fox has released a handful of stills from "Glee"'s return episode, "Pot O' Gold" (a title likely hearkening to Damian's Irish roots), two of which depict very different receptions for the newbie. (Who, we should add, is rocking vintage threads and a pompadour so hard that even Buddy Holly would be impressed.)

In the first, Rory's already displaying what a natural he is for New Directions by getting picked on by a pack of jocks. Though there's no slushy in sight, we can't imagine that colorful hazing is too far off.
