The media blitz for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" is on like Donkey Kong, and with just one week before the film's world premiere, we can't turn on our TV without seeing a member of the Cullen family talking about the upcoming nuptials between Edward and Bella. Not that we're complaining! Because it's fabulous! And this morning, the Cullen paterfamilias himself made an appearance in New York to talk "Twilight" with Regis and Kelly...or at least, he was pretty sure it was New York.
"Sometimes I wake up and I don't know where I am," Peter Facinelli admitted, as he's spent the past four years filming "Nurse Jackie" and "The Twilight Saga" on opposite coasts. "My jet lag has jet lag."
We believe it; PFac looked decidedly pale, wan, and ever-so-slightly weary this morning, and not just 'cause he's been playing a pasty vampire for nearly half a decade. The poor guy is obviously exhausted! But that hasn't dampened his excitement at the impending nuptials of everyone's favorite Forks couple.
"We have the wedding that we've all been waiting for," he said. "The movie opens up with this beautiful wedding, and you get to go on the honeymoon with them..."
Where, of course, Bella gets knocked up immediately. Or, as Peter explained, "The shoe drops, and it causes havoc."
(Note: "The shoe drops" is vampire code for "the fanged fetus has landed.")
What's important, though, is that this is the culmination of a long arc—and Peter was totally forthright with his feelings on the conclusion of the saga, saying, "It's very emotionally charged. I love this movie."
And if Carlisle Cullen loves it, you know it's got to be good.
Did you catch Peter's sleep-deprived appearance on "LIVE! with Regis & Kelly"?
