We love it when one of our own makes it big. Former MTV News correspondent Nick Zano has taken Hollywood by storm since leaving the confines of our hallowed halls. And he's certainly making all of us proud, as well as making us laugh (and swoon!) week after week on "2 Broke Girls." So that's why this week we're naming him our Hump Day Hottie.
Check out this dreamy photo of Nick and keep reading for more details about him!

Vital stats: The 33-year-old was born in New Jersey and raised in Florida. At a young age, he knew he really wanted to break into the entertainment business working on student films and a sketch show while still in high school. Eventually he packed up, hit the road and landed in L.A. where he made his dream into a reality, charming us ladies with his winning personality on- (and off-) screen.
"Here's the thing, I was raised in a house with seven women and one thing you learn very early on, just being a fly on the wall, is that that s--- don't work," he explained of not using any pick-up lines on ladies. "I've never really developed one. I have the utmost respect for women."
Where you might have already seen him: Well, aside from here on MTV News, Nick has appeared on "Melrose Place," "7th Heaven," "Cougar Town" and "What I Like About You," as well as big-screen jams like "The Final Destination," "Beverly Hills Chihuahua," "My Sexiest Year" and "Ten Year" (co-starring fellow HDH Channing Tatum).
Why you should take notice of him now: Donning that type of nerd glasses that get girls all excited, Nick plays street artist/bartender Johnny on CBS' feisty comedy, "2 Broke Girls." Currently caught up in a will-they-or-won't-they romance with Kat Denning's Max, we're kind of hoping they will, but it's also fun to watch them almost.
"One of the things I noticed about the '2 Broke Girls' pilot was that it looked like a new episode in a season and not a pilot, and that’s an amazing sign," he said about the show. "So I went in and read with Kat Dennings and Michael Patrick King, and I think from the first read together we did a chemistry read and it worked very well. And I respect the hell out of Michael Patrick King; the guy's an icon."
In addition to "2 Broke Girls," Nick is also a photographer. Wow, he really does have a lot in common with Johnny, other than, you know, the same face. "I've really been excited about my photography that's coming up," he shared. "It's been sort of a source of creative peace it puts inside me. It started as a competitive thing with a friend of mine and then he bailed on the contest, and I stayed with it and I found a real calling for something creatively."
Until next week, when we choose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Nick by gawking at his photo above!
(And, Nick, as promised you're not oiled up and half-naked! Unfortunately…)
