Sink your teeth into this: Michelle Trachtenberg was up for a starring role in "Twilight." Yep, the Upper East Sider nearly made the trek to Forks, thanks to her long-time acquaintance with director Catherine Hardwicke.
"There was definitely interest here and there because there’s so few pale girls in Hollywood,” Michelle recently told Us Weekly. (She didn't specify, however, which role would have been hers).
In the end, as you know, a part in the franchise phenom wasn't meant to be, as Michelle's schedule conflicted. So does she view her missed opportunity as a million dollar mistake? “I’ve already had 'Buffy.' I’ve already done the vampire thing,” she told the magazine. Glad she’s okay with choosing vampire slaying over vampire baby making.
Of course, Michelle isn't the only star to have narrowly missed their vampire close-up (hey there, Lucy Hale and Jennifer Lawrence!). Check out NextMovie's round-up of 8 Stars You Maybe Didn't Know Auditioned For "Twilight."
