A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away called Lima, Ohio, a follicly gifted fighter joined forces with a rag-tag group of glee clubbers to wage intergalactic warfare. And...sing show tunes?
During an interview on last night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" "Glee" star Matthew Morrison confirmed earlier rumors that the Fox musical series would welcome its hairiest guest star yet: Chewbacca of "Star Wars" fame.
“We called up George Lucas and he gave us Chewbacca," Matthew, who directs the December 13 Christmas episode, confirmed. "There is only one guy who can officially be Chewbacca, and he lives in Northern California and they flew him in."
As for how the Wookie will factor into the episode, co-star Harry Shum Jr. told AOL TV: "He makes an appearance into Artie's dream in a way. I can't really delve into the details, but it's something to do with Artie."
Regardless, it's clear the cast relished having the iconic character on set, evidenced by more than a few snaps taken with the towering titan (including the one above, recently tweeted by Chris Colfer).
All that's left to ponder is the playlist for this awesome cameo. If Chewbacca could grunt out a few bars of "Whip My Hair," I think my life would be complete.
Is this the best "Glee" guest star ever? Will you be tuning in to see Chewbacca? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
