2011 will be remembered as the year in which Harry Potter cast his ultimate spell, Bella and Edward finally did it and a band of six funny ladies made projectile poop appealing (sort of). But, if there was one star who shone a bit brighter than the rest this year, it was undoubtedly Hollywood Crush's official celebrity boyfriend, Mr. Ryan Gosling.
Whether he was breaking up a street fight or flaunting a six-pack that would send Taylor Lautner crying to the gym, the 31-year-old was everywhere this year, doing what he does with class and foxiness to spare. As such, today's Best of 2011 poll is dedicated to all things Gos. Ryan keeps the peace
YouTube nearly imploded when Ryan was caught on video quieting a scuffle in New York City's East Village this summer. Did we mention he did so while wearing a slim-fitting tank top that flattered all the right places? “I had just come from the gymnasium, and I was all stretched out and feeling warmed up," Ryan sheepishly told MTV News of his heroics. "I’m embarrassed.”
Ryan flashes a ridic mid section in "Crazy, Stupid, Love"
We've always known Ryan was the fit sort, but we never knew just how fit until the actor doffed his top for this summer's enjoyable rom-com "Crazy, Stupid, Love." And, no, those abs are not Photoshopped.
Ryan bashes heads in "Drive"
We don't condone violence here at Hollywood Crush but, hypothetically, if skull cracking turned us on, no one did it better this year than "Drive"'s nameless protagonist played by Mr. Gosling.
Ryan says "Hey Girl!"
Hot and a sense of humor? Yep, we're in love. Ryan is no stranger to the beloved internet meme F--k Yeah! Ryan Gosling, and he good-naturedly got in on the joke by reading a series of the silly Tumblr posts for an episode of After Hours. Hey Gos, We love it when you giggle like a school girl.
Ryan inspires a protest of People's Sexiest Man Alive
We're not the only ones who thought Ryan had the best year ever. When another hottie, "Hangover" star Bradley Cooper, was named People's Sexiest Man, picketers took to publisher Time Inc.'s sidewalks to protest the appointment. Heck, even Bradley Cooper admitted that Ryan is basically sex on legs.
