A public service announcement for any of you whose countdown widget may be on the fritz: Today marks 100 days until the much-anticipated big-screen adaptation of "The Hunger Games" blazes into theaters. Commence squealing in 3, 2, 1...
To celebrate, Hollywood Crush is partnering with Lionsgate for an internet scavenger scramble called #HungerGames100 Poster Puzzle Hunt! Here's how it works: 100 website will each host one piece of a ginormous "Hunger Games" puzzle (depicting the newest one-sheet for the March 23 release). Your job is to search Twitter using the hashtag #HungerGames100 to find each piece, solve the puzzle and upload a photo of the finished product to Facebook, tagging The Official Hunger Games Movie page. After the first person posts the solved puzzle, the entire poster will be revealed.

We love the Christmas spirit as much as the next blog, but let's be real: By the time January 2 rolls around, we're all ready to un-deck the halls, de-jingle the bells and settle in for a nice, mid-winter movie about killing and death. And if you need a film to look forward to, we've got just the one—AND an exclusive look at the poster! So put down your eggnog and feast your eyes on "Gone," a February thriller starring Amanda Seyfried.
The story: Jill Parrish (Amanda) comes home from work to find her sister missing—presumably abducted by the same kidnapper from whom Jill narrowly escaped the previous year. But with time running out and nobody willing to believe her, Jill has to take matters into her own hands and embarks on a breakneck pursuit to save her sister's life. The film co-stars Daniel Sunjata, Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Stan and Wes Bentley.

Sad but true: Awards season sometimes isn't the most exciting time for crushy news coverage (unless, of course, you're the proprietor of a blog called F--- Yeah! Historical Biopics and/or Meryl Streep). But this year? Oh, man, this year is gonna be awesome. Because the Golden Globes nominations are in, and lo, they are fantastic. So when it comes time to tune in for the awards ceremony on January 15, you can bet we'll be keeping a watchful eye on a few key categories. Which noms have the Crush staff so psyched? Check it:
First off: Hey girl, prepare yourself for a double hit of Ryan Gosling; not only is he the rightful heir to the Sexiest Man Alive throne, he's up for best actor in a drama for "The Ides of March", and best actor in a comedy for "Crazy, Stupid, Love." (What's that? You need another reason to watch? Well, fine: Joseph Gordon-Levitt is also up for best comedy actor for his performance in "50/50.") And finally, rounding out the eye candy: Michael Fassbender, with a nomination for best actor (drama) in "Shame."

Anyone following the life and times of Michael Fassbender these days knows that with the release of "Shame," "X-Men: First Class," "A Dangerous Method," and "Jane Eyre," there's a lot of the rising star to go around. And when talking about "Shame" we mean that both literally and metaphorically.
Interestingly enough, there was almost more of Michael added to "Jane Eyre," according to director Cary Fukunaga, with whom MTV News recently chatted with about the success of the film and a few of the bonus features on the DVD/Blu-ray.
"There was lots of talk about that scene when he gets out of bed, when his bed is on fire, about how naked he was going to be in that scene, and I swear to God all the ladies at BBC and Focus were really pushing for that to be a somewhat naked scene," Fukunaga revealed. "If that would have happened we would have had a lot of set visits that day as well. He’s definitely a lady-pleaser."

We kind of have a thing for Brits here at Hollywood Crush. So, in keeping with our time-honored tradition of naming them Hump Day Hotties, this week we are showing some love to "War Horse" star Jeremy Irvine, who is trotting along and quickly winning our hearts.
Check out this dreamy photo of Jeremy and keep reading for more details about him!

Vital stats: The 21-year-old grew up in Cambridgeshire, England. He studied his craft at National Youth Theatre and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He eventually dropped out of drama school and is now on the rise thanks to a high-profile role in the Steven Spielberg-directed film.
"The whole thing isn’t real to me yet. I’m still trying to take it in. I came from having no lines in the theatre to this," he recently told British newspaper The Mirror. "I wasn’t even getting call backs for commercials, so it has changed everything. How on Earth I managed to get into this movie is beyond me. I have no idea. I come from a small village in Cambridgeshire where not many people have gone on to do stuff like this."

Everyone put on your party pants, set off some glitter bombs and get ready to make your best, high-pitched squealing sounds—because "Daughter of Smoke and Bone," one of our top teen lit picks for 2011 (and my own personal faaaavorite favorite thing I've read this year!) has been officially picked up by Hollywood! The rights to Laini Taylor's amazing, imaginative story about a mysterious girl, an otherworldly romance and demons who traffic in teeth has been bought by Universal Pictures, according to a statement from the studio.
And now we all go: EEEEEEEEE!!!
Of course, this only just happened, which means that we'll have to wait way too long to get any updates on when the movie will start filming or which actors are in the running to play our favorite key characters. But it's never too early to start throwing opinions around! So, while Hollywood starts its engine to bring this book to life on screen, we'll be lounging on our casting couch with a few favorite picks for Karou—the blue-haired, multilingual, tattooed heroine who makes the whole story go BOOM.

2011 will be remembered as the year in which Harry Potter cast his ultimate spell, Bella and Edward finally did it and a band of six funny ladies made projectile poop appealing (sort of). But, if there was one star who shone a bit brighter than the rest this year, it was undoubtedly Hollywood Crush's official celebrity boyfriend, Mr. Ryan Gosling.
Whether he was breaking up a street fight or flaunting a six-pack that would send Taylor Lautner crying to the gym, the 31-year-old was everywhere this year, doing what he does with class and foxiness to spare. As such, today's Best of 2011 poll is dedicated to all things Gos. We're asking you to pick your favorite Ryan moment from this year (as if that were even possible), so let's run through the nominees...

Our little Gabriella is all grown up! Vanessa Hudgens is 23 today, and we brainstormed a lot of ways to celebrate. We thought about turning our fave Zac Efron poster into a dartboard (but, c'mon, he's just too pretty to deface). We contemplated hosting a "High School Musical" sing-off. We even considered attempting to escape an insane asylum with our lingerie-clad friends. But birthdays aren’t about dwelling on the past. They’re about looking ahead, so we’re celebrating Vanessa’s big 2-3 by listing the top reasons why this year is going to be her best yet.

This was, in general, one of the most confusing episodes of "Glee" ever. Instead of going on hiatus immediately after sectionals, which has been the case in the past few years, we were treated to a Christmas episode. But because so many of the storylines neatly wrapped up last week, this week's episode decided to take a different route and feature no story at all.
Also, Rachel, a character who makes a point of her Jewish heritage often, apparently celebrates Christmas. Like I said, confusing.
The basic shell of the story went a little something like this: Sue, in an attempt to squash a potential Christmas spent alone, drafted Kurt, Artie and Blaine to help her out at a homeless shelter to feed the needy during the holiday. They agreed, but just as quickly reneged when the TV special they were doing for public access conflicted.

Aaaand it's official: The next season of "True Blood" just upped its ogle-able hottie quotient by a factor of a bajillion, thanks to the now-confirmed addition of Christopher Meloni in a major recurring role. (This radical increase in sexiness is known in scientific communities as "the Stabler effect".)
After a few tasty rumors last month that the actor was circling the show, The Hollywood Reporter has the news that the former star of "Law & Order: SVU" will be donning some fangs for season five.
