Summertime and the return of HBO's "True Blood" might still be a long way off, but it's never too early for a postcard from the haunted environs of Bon Temps. We've been watching carefully for the past few months as casting announcements for season five trickled in, and today, we're getting our first taste of the bloodsucking shenanigans to come: the show's next-season teaser is here, and would like to remind you that (cue ominous music!) nothing...stays...buried...FOREVER.
...Ooooooooh. Did you get chills? We totally got chills.
Of course, as much fun as the twisty, rooty, crumbly underground graphic treatment is, without any actual footage or additional clues to go with this tantalizing pronouncement, it's anyone's guess exactly what will be unearthed when we all tune in this summer. But as the folks at EW have so helpfully pointed out, there's at least one very angry vampire with a penchant for ripping out spinal columns who maybe (definitely?) managed to spring himself from his subterranean concrete prison at the end of season four. And with actor Denis O'Hare free for a reappearance in Bon Temps after finishing up his single-season stint on "American Horror Story," we're thinking we just might be treated to the triumphant return of Russell Edgington. YAY.
