The friends on "Happy Endings" may not take well to new and former love interests trying to hang out with them, but if we were them we’d be pretty psyched to welcome James Wolk to the clique. Why? Well, he’s adorable in that young Kyle Chandler kind of way, and this week he’s set for a story arc on the ABC comedy. Do we need any other reasons to name him this week’s Hump Day Hottie? Yeah, we didn’t think so.

Vital stats: 26-year-old Jimmy (yeah, we’re already on a pet name basis), grew up in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where he studied his craft at the School of Music, Theatre and Dance. And, when he’s not busy making us swoon, he's doing good-guy stuff like working on the Board of Directors of the Brad Cohen Tourette Foundation and volunteering at the "Camp Twitch and Shout” in Georgia. It’s a camp for kids with Tourette syndrome. Nice and cute? We’re sold!
Where you might have already seen him: He was on the short-lived Fox series, “Lone Star,” as well as a number of other projects like the TV movies “Solving Charlie,” “Front of the Class” and “Georgetown.”
Why you should take notice of him now: He’s got a number of projects lined up for 2012—including a guest run (starting tonight!) on the hilarious ABC Wednesday night comedy “Happy Endings,” where he’ll play Max’s ex-beau who makes a big return on Valentine’s Day. Max + James Wolk = Dream couple! Describing his role to The Hollywood Reporter, he said he’s the kind of guy who wears a great vest and tie combo.
"The group never really takes to anybody, particularly Max," Jimmy explained. "I think Max and Grant really have an affection for each other because they're complete opposites. Where Max is very laid back, unkempt at times, Grant is very put together."
Not enough James for you? No problem! He’s also got a recurring role on another TV show, “Shameless,” and his film, “For a Good Time, Call...” drops later this year.
