All the single ladies, all the single ladies: Instead of wallowing in your solo status this Valentine’s Day, celebrate it! Put down the box of chocolates you bought for yourself, stop looking up your ex on Facebook and call up your girls. Hollywood Crush has your movie night all planned out. Here are five films perfect for a belated Galentine's Day celebration (thank you, Leslie Knope!).
"Thelma & Louise"
This movie proves you don’t need a man to conquer the world—all you need is your BFF. In fact, Brad Pitt's around just long enough for Thelma to appreciate his hot bod and get some savvy tips about his robber lifestyle. As the credits roll, you’ll appreciate your friendships even more and vow to be friends forever (like, forrreal!).
"(500) Days Of Summer"
If you often feel like lasting love just doesn’t exist and you want to stare at Joseph Gordon-Levitt for two hours, this is your must-see movie. This film (co-starring Zooey Deschanel) celebrates the importance of work crushes, sappy cards and unrequited love.
Watching Chloe Moretz’s character, Hit Girl, killing dudes will rid you of any built-up V-Day rage. She’s the most violent, foul-mouthed kid you’ll ever meet. What’s not to love? It’s total girl power wrapped in a comedic package.
"Eat, Pray, Love"
Ahh, the it’s-not-about-the-destination-it’s-about-the-journey movie. Warning: The first half of the film will have you craving pasta, so email your friends now and make it a spaghetti potluck. Afterwards, map out your own single-girl goals. And then make yourself some more pasta.
"He’s Just Not That Into You"
The eye candy in this movie is sweeter than a two-ton bag of Hershey's Kisses. Swoon over Bradley Cooper, Ben Affleck, Kevin Connolly and Justin Long while sympathizing with Gennifer Goodwin, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Connelly (you just can’t sympathize with Scarlett Johansson, like, ever). This movie totally gets what it’s like to be single or caught up in something complicated.
