American audiences have to wait until March to witness Robert Pattinson in all of his philandering glory in the Guy de Maupassant adaptation, "Bel Ami," but those lucky Germans are getting an early taste thanks to the movie's debut at the Berlin International Film Festival. Robert and co-star Christina Ricci were on hand today for a press conference and photocall in support of the soon-to-be released period drama.
Sporting an Asian-influenced jacket and the buzz cut he debuted earlier this year at the People's Choice Awards, the 25-year-old greeted fans, posed with his leading lady and fielded a variety of questions, including why he cut off his signature locks.
"And the shaved head, it’s, yeah, I don’t really know why," he said. "I was running and hair kept flapping around on my head and I felt like an idiot so I shaved it off."
Rob also addressed the talk that their could be a sixth "Twilight" film, including whether he'd want to star. "Yeah, I’d be curious what Stephenie would write," he said. "I mean, I just think I’d probably be too old by the time—I’m already too old. But, yeah, that would be kind of interesting; if they recast me with one of my competition."
Somehow we don't think Twilighters would take too kindly to their Edward Cullen being replaced. Watch your step, producers.
