It’s official, Nick Jonas fans: the JoBro is a single man! The musician has split from his girlfriend, Australian singer Delta Goodrem.
"Nick and Delta have decided to mutually end their relationship," her rep told People in a statement. "At this point in time, they are both focused on their careers as they go on different paths. They remain friends and wish each other the best for the future."
The pair had first been romantically linked to one another last May, after they were spotted on a movie date. Despite an age difference (Delta’s 27, Nick’s 19), the two had been seeing each other ever since.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Nick talked a bit about how he wanted to spend Valentine’s Day with his lady love. "[I'm] interested to see what this [Broadway] schedule becomes as far as how tired I'll be after these shows every night, because it is a pretty insane show as far as the dancing, singing and acting goes," he said. "I think on Valentine's Day I might make an exception and plan something. Stay up a little bit later than I usually would.
"She [Delta] is going back and forth to New York and L.A. and Australia this year," he added of making their long distance relationship work, according to AOL. "She's really excited. She's doing 'The Voice' this year over in Australia. She'll be back there quite a bit doing that."
The former twosome certainly has plenty of other projects to keep them busy now that they no longer have each other. Nick is currently starring in the Broadway smash, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” and is recording the next Jonas Brothers record with Joe and Kevin in New York City. Meanwhile, Delta is one of the judges on the Australian version of “The Voice.”
