Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Nina Dobrev won't be gracing our TV screens for another few months yet, but that didn't stop the sinewy actress from stepping into the fray at the CW Upfront red carpet today! The star of "the Vampire Diaries" mingled with other celebs from the network's upcoming shows—including boyfriend and co-star Ian Somerhalder—sporting a shimmery dress and heels in a particularly bloody shade of crimson, while the buzz kept coming in for the lineup of fall shows coming down the pike.
Nina and her vampiric cohort will be one of just a few shows that are slated to return in October, as part of the CW's decision to steer clear of the early-fall free-for-all. But the wait will be worth it: Not only is "Vampire Diaries" making a comeback, but Variety reports that it'll be on just ahead of the brand new "Beauty and the Beast," a much-anticipated reboot of an earlier series that features the classic fairytale story in a contemporary context. And come January, "The Carrie Diaries" starring AnnaSophia Robb (who was seen rubbing shoulders with Nina on the Upfront red carpet) will make its mid-season debut on the network. The only project we're still keeping a wary eyeball on? "The Selection," which isn't on the lineup though Deadline reports that it might still have a chance, so fingers crossed.
