Forget Rosewood's resident jailbirds, it's all about the city's songbirds. "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale announced via Twitter today that she's landed a contract with Hollywood Records!
I can now share that I have recently been signed to Hollywood Records @https://twitter.com/HollywoodRecs">HollywoodRecs ! I couldn't be more excited to share my music with you

Lucy added that the album would be, "diff from anything you've ever heard from the label and not what you'd expect from me. Thanks for the support!"
The almost-23-year-old (her birthday is on Thursday!) is no stranger to the mic, as she got her big break on the now-defunct teen version of "American Idol" called "American Juniors."
"Well, the whole reason I got brought out to L.A. [was] I grew up my whole life singing; that's what I wanted to do," Lucy told Hollywood Crush last year while promoting "A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song." "Acting wasn’t even in the picture. I wanted to get a record deal. I was 15 at the time. The year before I had done 'American Juniors,' so we formed this group and we were signed to Jive Records. It was a great experience. I learned a lot about the music industry, and obviously that didn’t work out. It was a little discouraging. I was still striving for it."
You know what they say about asking and receiving... And it probably goes without saying that Lucy will bring her A-game to the recording studio.
Congrats, Lucy, and Tweet Dreams!
