Even before Dana Brunetti and Michael De Luca signed on as producers for the big-screen adaptation of the best-selling "Fifty Shades of Grey," casting rumors had been running rampant (check out our staff picks for the lead loves), and at this point it would almost be easier to list who hasn’t been speculated for the roles of smokin’ hot billionaire Christian Grey and young, innocent Anastasia Steele.
While she hasn't really been on our radar for the role of Ana, rumors recently spread that erstwhile Hermione Granger, Emma Watson, was a front-runner for the part. But just as quickly as the Watson whispers began, they were poo-pooed. Producer Dana took to Twitter, writing: "All of the rumors on #Fifty Shades are just that - rumors. No one has been cast in any role. We have to get a writer and director first."
Yet, Emma has expressed interest in distancing herself from the "Harry Potter" films and taking on more adult roles, like her upcoming "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and especially "Bling Ring." If she wants more mature parts, "Fifty Shades" definitely fits the bill.
