From the sounds of it, Zooey Deschanel's "New Girl" is getting a little love—and—loss in the series' second season.
We learned this week (via Entertainment Weekly) that Jess's work life will be a bit frenetic. Producer Lee Meriwether revealed that budget cuts at Miss Day's school will give the writers more room for experimentation in all aspect's of Jess's life. From a slew of odd jobs to new men, Zooey's on-screen alter ego is about to go through some ch-ch-changes.
Speaking of new men, between reports from EW and E! Online, we know about two upcoming love interests. "Bent" star David Walton will begin his recurring role in the season two premiere on September 25, as a "classic bad boy type," while Josh Gad from "The Book of Mormon" will play a beer delivery guy named Bearclaw (you read that right) from Nick's bar.
And then there's always Jess' roommate Nick. Based on the underlying flirtation between the two, we can't imagine he'll be too thrilled about the new men in her life.
"New Girl" returns to Fox on September 25.
