Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Rupert Grint has traded in his wand for a torch. The erstwhile Ron Weasley was snapped yesterday in London carrying the Olympic Flame as part of the torch relay leading up to the 2012 summer Games. (And if you're wondering, that's London Mayor Boris Johnson standing beside him, not a long-lost Hogwarts professor).
Today marks the 69th day of the flame's 70-day journey, covering 8,000 miles. Rupert is among the group of 8,000 Olympic torchbearers, which also includes Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Will.i.am and David Beckham.
The Danny Boyle-directed Olympic opening ceremony is tomorrow and will feature a performance by living legend Paul McCartney. (Be sure to check out our entire entertainment schedule for the 2012 Olympics!)
When he's not busy transporting fire, Rupert can be found on the set of the '80s-set rocker flick "CBGB," which is currently filming in Georgia and New York.
