The big-screen adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's Southern gothic, "Beautiful Creatures," won't spellbind audiences until 2013, but star Emmy Rossum is doing her best to keep us entranced in the meantime.
It was just a couple of week ago that the actress, who plays Ridley Duchannes in the supernatural saga, tweeted a first look all done up as the dark caster, in a decolletage-baring black lace gown and a sleek, shorn scarlet 'do. But if you've read the series upon which the film is based, you know the siren is a natural blond bombshell, and in the latest picture to emerge from set, Emmy is just that.
"Another side of Ridley! Here I teach Thomas Mann's character a bit of magic," Emmy wrote this morning, with an accompanying photo of her and her co-star, who plays Ethan's lovable best friend Link.
Emmy almost looks to be channeling Marilyn Monroe here, with her flaxen curls, ruby red lips and vintage-inspired frock. Blond bombshell, indeed.
"Beautiful Creatures," starring Alice Englert, Alden Ehrenreich, Viola Davis and Jeremy Irons, hits theaters February 13, 2013.
