Forget the raucous Olympic Village—primetime television is becoming the new home for our nation's athletes, post-London.
The latest guest-starring role goes to 17-year-old swimmer Missy Franklin, who will appear on the ABC Family series "Pretty Little Liars" as—you guessed it!—a swimmer. (Herself, actually). According to The Hollywood Reporter, the four-time gold medalist will turn up at Emily's after-school-job at the Brew, and the two will chit-chat about their love of logging laps in the pool.
No word yet on when Missy's episode will air (or if she'll be wearing goggles), but with the series on hiatus until 2013 (save for next week's Halloween special), we'll have to wait until the new year to get a glimpse of this gal in Rosewood.
Missy joins a growing group of Olympians making cameos on our favorite shows, which already includes Ryan Lochte on "90210," McKayla Maroney on "Hart of Dixie" and Gabby Douglas on "The Vampire Diaries."
