Break out your black and ready your steele—a teaser trailer for "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" is set to run in front of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" screenings!
Director Harald Zwart confirmed via his Tumblr yesterday that Shadowhunter fans will get their first look at the film next week—a quick turnaround considering production wraps on the adaptation this week. But, ya know, we're not going to complain.
Given that it's a teaser and not a full-blown trailer, we should reasonably expect about a minute worth of footage. Which isn't a lot of celluloid but should be enough to convey the basic plot to noobs, as well as give fans something to savor. So with that in mind, Hollywood Crush has compiled its wish list of moments that must make the trailer. Check it out after the jump, and be sure to weigh in with your hopes and dreams in the comments!
This is where it all begins—the New York nightclub where Clary meets Shadowhunter Jace and readers get their first inkling that there's something magical about the red-haired heroine. Mundane, it's not.
Lights, Camera, Action
Whether it's Jace, Alec, Isabelle or even Clary defeating a Ravener demon, we want to not only see the Nephilim in action, but also director Herald's vision of the slithering creatures from author Cassandra Clare's best-seller.
Magnus' Monster Mash
MTV News already got an exclusive look at the High Warlock's introduction by way of the rolicking rumpus he throws at his Brooklyn apartment, but we can't wait to see how this fete translates to the big screen.
There's plenty of action in "City of Bones," and not all of it involves whips and seraph blades. Some of it takes advantage of supple lips and tongues, too! While we think the beloved greenhouse scene should probably be saved for a full-length trailer (or, even better, the film), we can't help but hope for a tender moment or two between Clary and her crush Jace.
Okay, so we don't have a particular Simon scene in mind, but we're dying to see cutie-pie Robert Sheehan bring the boy to life (especially after his hilarious quips during our set visit!).
