The countdown is in full effect!
There are only mere hours before Bella, Edward, Jacob and Renesmee light up the screen and lead the charge against the oppressive Volturi and fight for their happily-ever-after. We have just a short wait for the cinematical climax of four years of glittering vampires, shirtless wolves, unresolved romantic tension, vegetarian vampirism and cloudy Washington weather. We can feel the tremors from millions of Twilighters tweaking with anticipation the world over!
But before anyone pulls a hammy from excitement, here are five things to do that will enhance your experience before hitting theaters for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."
Do a "Twilight Saga" movie marathon
You're going to have to block off an entire day for this, people. Chances are a theater near you is doing a 10-hour extravaganza of back-to-back screenings of the first four films (check your local listings). Go back to the days of yore when Bella was still human, Edward was still being a total square about turning her and Jacob's massive pecs were constantly busting out of his shirt (spoiler, that's still happening). Revisit all their adventures along the rocky roads of Forks and beyond. If you don't fancy sitting in a theater and using theater bathrooms all day, do it at home!
Reread the book
Flip through the well-worn pages of your copy of "Breaking Dawn." Even if you know it by heart, word-for-word, it will at least give you something to do with those quivering hands.
Find red contact lenses
Kristen Stewart had to wear them for filming, and you too can sport the eyes of a newly minted vampire in honor of the final theatrical installment of this epic tale. You won't be the only one in the theater with vampire-Bella-inspired peepers, we guarantee it. Just make sure you can actually see with them before heading out. If you prefer the refined look of Edward's more mature ocular features, amber contact lenses will do the trick.
Watch "The Host" trailer
The world will not end after you walk out of the theater as the "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" credits roll. We promise. Do not shed a one tear, for there is another Stephenie Meyer-adaptation on its way to the big screen. Saoirse Ronan and Max Irons turn on the heat in this new sci-fi thriller about the last stand humanity takes against the invasion of mind-controlling beings from outer space.
You've earned the right to completely freak out over the release of this film. This is exciting! Let out a cathartic squee-to-conquer-all-squees to show the world your delight!
