Now that we've watched "The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones" trailer on loop for the last 36 hours and ruminated (rune-inated? ) over its blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments, there's only one thing left to do: theorize about what we'll see in a second trailer!
With production having wrapped just last week in Toronto, director Harald Zwart warned MTV News that the first look didn't have all the "really cool shots" but promised the next would be chock-a-block with eye-popping imagery. And we can't wait! Here's what we hope will be included in the next sneak peek:
All you need is love
Plenty of sparks fly in Cassandra Clare's best-selling novel, but we didn't spy a single flicker in this first look. But that's okay; the action kept us plenty mesmerized, and we know there's plenty of longing looks to come. Or even—dare we dream?—a certain scene involving a greenhouse.
Release the CGIed demons!
Thanks to the trailer's quick turnaround, the ner'er-do-wells featured here were largely actors made up to look like dangerous demons. But anyone familiar with the source material know these beings take all manner of shapes, sizes and colors. We're curious to see how Harald handles the cadre of CGIed creepsters.
High Warlock times
Magnus Bane, reveal thyself! MTV News got an exclusive look at the magical man's monster mash when we visited the set earlier this year, but we're still itching to see Godfrey Gao's portrayal of the High Warlock of Brooklyn, glitter and all.
"The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" hits theaters August 23, 2013.
