Fans of supernatural romance, you can stop weeping over that Edward Cullen action figure and wondering how you'll ever love again now that "Twilight" is officially dunzo: There's a new, four-book saga full of star-crossed love and inexplicable events headed for the big screen! And by the time the first film based on Becca Fitzpatrick's "Hush, Hush" hits theaters, we think you'll be ready to trade in your sparkly vampires and shirtless werewolves for something with...feathers.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Becca's saga of earthly angels, heavenly wars and a human girl at the center of an age-old conflict between the immortals up top and their fallen cousins, is headed for Hollywood!
The rights have been snapped up by the folks at LD Entertainment, and a script is in the works—beginning with book No. 1. The series opens with Nora, an ordinary girl who finds herself strangely drawn to Patch, a handsome fellow who happens to be her biology lab partner...and who keeps turning up at the same time as inexplicable and frightening things begin happening, suggesting that when it comes to Nora's crush on Patch, things are neither simple nor what they seem. And with plenty of material to work with (four books!) plus the kind of romantic plotlines that make audiences swoon (human-angel relationship!), don't be surprised if the anticipatory buzz on this one has you saying, "Edward? Edward who?"
Production on "Hush, Hush" is slated to begin in the fall of 2013.
