We hope you're feeling romaaaaaahntic today, sugarplums, because our Best Of 2012 poll is taking a turn for Schmoopyville: It's time to get clicking in the competition for Best On-Screen Couple of the year! From romance to bromance, these dynamic duos from our year in movies made us believe in love again. Who's in the running?
The nominees are...
"The Perks of Being a Wallflower," Charlie and Sam
The necessity of including this romance on the Best-Of list can be summed up in a single sentence: "I want to make sure the first person you kiss loves you, okay?" (OH GOD. WEEPING.)
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Bella and Edward
With Bella having at last been transformed into a vampire, these two eternally teenaged lovebirds will be in OMG TRU LUV 5EVA...but with "The Twilight Saga"'s theatrical run officially over, they'll only be eligible for Best Couple for this final year.
"The Hunger Games," Katniss and Peeta
There wasn't much time for romance between the blood-splattering action of the arena and Peeta's near-death from sepsis, but these two crazy kids still found time to establish themselves as one of the year's most perfect on-screen pairs.
"The Amazing Spider-Man," Peter and Gwen
We doubt even Oscorp's most brilliant scientists could explain the chemistry between once-gawky Peter Parker and lady love Gwen Stacy. It's just...elemental.
"21 Jump Street," Schmidt and Jenko
And the necessity of this one?

That is all.
