Of all the burning questions we had surrounding "The Vampire Diaries" spinoff, "The Originals," one has, finally FINALLY, been answered. Actor Daniel Gillies will reprise his role as Elijah for The CW spinoff, according to Deadline.
As you'll recall, the April 25 episode of "TVD" will serve as a backdoor pilot for the fledgling series starring Joseph Morgan (you know him as Klaus) and Phoebe Tonkin (you know her as Hayley) that will follow Klaus as he returns to New Orleans and is reunited with his naughty protege Marcel.
As to whether Original sister Rebekah (a.k.a. Claire Holt) will star in the spinoff, that's yet to be determined as the actress told Zap2It recently that she hasn't even read the script.
"I don't know what's going to happen. We're shooting episode 16, or just about to start 16 right now, and the backdoor pilot is episode 20, I think," she said. "I don't know what's going to happen as far as Rebekah being part of it. Nothing has been decided, right now, or confirmed. That said, I adore Joseph and Phoebe and I think that any show that they're in is going to be unreal, and it's really great to start it off with the fan base of 'The Vampire Diaries,' but I don't know anything about my involvement yet."
When we know, Crushers, we'll be sure to let you know!
