Girl power lives on! Fox has just confirmed that "New Girl" and "The Mindy Project" will be back for more LOL-worthy shenanigans during the 2013-2014 TV season kicking off this fall.
"New Girl" will be back for its third season later this year, while "The Mindy Project" will be back for its sophomore turn on the network. Fellow Tuesday night comedy "Raising Hope" also got renewed.
“Mindy Project” star and the show’s namesake Mindy Kaling was definitely excited about the chance to try and find rom-com worthy love for a second season, shouting out the network’s entertainment president Kevin Reilly on Twitter shortly after the announcement. She wrote, “I love you, Kevin Reilly.” (We kind of do too if it means more “Mindy” for us!)
While these shows will definitely be back, the network has yet to confirm if “Glee” will be singing and dancing for another season. The network will reportedly announce plans for a fifth season soon, according to The Wrap.
We also want to shout out “The Following” for its second season renewal. If it just means we might get more chances to check out Nico Tortorella (should he live through the first season) being hot and bad at the same time, then so be it. We are definitely members of Cult Nico.
