Veronica Mars will be getting a little more help from her friends. The "Veronica Mars" flick just kicked off production and has nabbed yet another vet from the series to appear in the big-screen adaptation of the cult-loved series. That’s right, everyone, Max Greenfield will reprise his role for the movie.
The "New Girl" star, who has won fans over recently with his kooky role of Schmidt on the Fox sitcom, confirmed he will once again play Deputy Leo in the movie. "I will be there -- so will Deputy Leo,” he said in a Google Hangout on Tuesday (via The Hollywood Reporter).
He continued, "I'm really excited about it. It's one of those few occasions where you're going to work on something and I think I'm going there for a day, where you're working on something everybody is so excited to be there. Everybody is going to be going full force on this project and it's going to be like a fun reunion. You want to go in there and do some really solid work because obviously, people put up their own money to see this. I think everybody who's playing a part in this thing has a responsibility, which is fun and exciting."
The film is slated for 2014 release thanks to a massively successful Kickstarter campaign. The film will also star Kristen Bell (obviously), as well as Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino, Krysten Ritter, Amanda Noret, Sam Huntington and Daran Norris.
