Because it's never too early to get psyched out of your mind about an amazing YA book making its way to Hollywood, you can officially mark your 2015 calendar with a big, beautiful star on July 31: According to The Hollywood Reporter, that's when the movie adaptation of "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" will make its big theatrical debut. (And if you don't have a 2015 calendar yet, just tattoo the date on your arm, and your face, and your dog. You don't want to forget, do you?)
The movie, based on the bestselling book by Ransom Riggs, follows a young hero from his home in the states to a petite island off the coast of Wales, where a group of unusual—you might even say peculiar—orphans are waiting for him inside a wormhole full of secrets! And best of all, it's in wildly capable hands: Tim Burton, who was drawn to the book for obvious reasons of the supernatural-quirky variety, has signed on to direct, which means Ransom's weirdo world full of shapeshifters and gothic mansions and tentacle-faced monstrosities should be on full and glorious detailed display when the film hits the big screen.
