If you haven't already ordered your party pants for this year's San Diego Comic-Con, you may want to request a rush delivery. Lionsgate announced today that a brand new trailer for the highly anticipated "Hunger Games" sequel "Catching Fire," starring Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, will debut during the annual gathering of geeks!
The fresh footage will premiere during a special panel taking place July 20 (where the studio will also offer up a first look at the Aaron Eckhart-starring "I, Frankentstein.")
As you may recall, the first "Catching Fire" trailer blazed the airwaves earlier this year during the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, giving fans a teasing taste of Katniss and Peeta's post-Games life. (Hint: It's not called a dystopian drama for nothin'...) What this new clip will offer up is a total mystery, but if we may be so bold, we'd like to submit one request: Give us Finnick!
Panem's hottest of all hotties (played by Sam Claflin) has yet to make his debut in footage (though, thankfully, our copious slobbering has been rewarded with a few stills); and judging by the roll-out from the first film, we don't expect much (if any) arena action in this new look. That's not to say, though, that training scenes are off limits, or the Tribute Parade, in which the District 4 hunk wears little else besides a strategically placed fish net.
So, your move, Lionsgate. We'll just be standing over here with tridents in hand.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" hits theaters November 22.
