"Glee" may have been renewed for two more seasons, but the Fox series will be returning to the airwaves with fewer familiar faces.
TVLine reports that four original cast members—Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Harry Shum Jr.—will not be coming back as series regulars. The report did indicate, however, that the quartet (along with Dianna Agron, who was all but absent from season four) could return as guest stars "here and there."
Beyond the void of several once-integral actors, the fifth season will face another challenge: After its initial fall episodes, the series will take a mid-season break, not returning with new episodes until the spring.
And though it's only June, the cast is already assembling for season five duties, as Lea Michele tweeted earlier today: "Having the best time at our #Glee cast #Season5 gallery shoot! I can't believe it's our 5th season! Time flies when you're having fun:)"
