There was a lot to love in our official first look at "Divergent", the movie adaptation of Veronica Roth's bestselling book about a society on the brink of collapse, which debuted some brand-new and exclusive footage at Sunday's VMAs. Knife throwing! Skyscraper jumping! Ferris wheel climbing! A passionate smooch between Tris and Four that lasted only a fraction of a second but made us dissolve into a quivering mass of jelly nonetheless! But now that we've all gotten this peek at the hotly anticipated film, we want more. MORE, we tell you! And not to be all demanding and unreasonable, but there's no time like the present to start letting the whole world know which scenes from the novel we want a glimpse of the next time around.
Our personal wishlist goes a little like this:
—more of the Dauntless ensemble cast (including Miles Teller and Jai Courtney) doing their thing
—more panoramic peeks at the ruins of Chicago
—at least one scene that shows Tris inside a simulation (a sort of virtual-reality hallucination that's central to the "Divergent" world), and, finally
—Theo James with no shirt on. We saw, like, one lousy inch of torso in that first trailer and you couldn't even tell what part it was. UNACCEPTABLE.
But that's just us; what else should be on this list? Discuss!
Which scenes from the source novel do you want to see in the next sneak peek at "Divergent"?
