JigsawCould author James Frey of "A Million Little Pieces" fame have the next young adult sensation (à la "Twilight") on his hands? Judging from a synopsis of his upcoming sci-fi novel, I'm going to say yes.

According to The New York Times, Frey, along with an anonymous co-author, is shopping around a manuscript titled "I Am Number Four," the first in a six-book series about an alien teenager who seeks refuge in Paradise, Ohio after his planet is attacked. Though the novel has yet to find a publisher, the movie rights have already been bought by DreamWorks Pictures with "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" director Michael Bay signed on to produce and possibly direct. Fill in the blanks to this classic movie line: “I want you. I need you. Oh, ____. Oh, ____.”

Jigsaw"Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson is rumored to be Columbia University bound, but don't expect co-star Daniel Radcliffe to follow her into the hallowed halls of academia. The 19-year-old actor recently shared his distaste for the classroom in the latest issue of Parade magazine. “I wasn’t very good in school at all,” Daniel told the mag. “I was kind of useless."

One thing Daniel hasn't been useless at his helping turn J.K. Rowling's fantasy franchise into a world-wide film phenomenon. With "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" coming out next month, Daniel talked with Parade about his similarities with the beloved boy wizard, taking it all of in "Equus," and why cougars make him purr. Sex and the CityCarrie Bradshaw must have one serious line of credit at Bloomingdales, because according to "Sex and the City" stylist Patricia Field, the chic columnist's signature style won't be impacted by the recession in the upcoming "SATC" sequel.

Originally, star Sarah Jessica Parker said the recent financial crisis would be reflected in the sequel, which is slated for a spring 2010 release. "Our country has changed significantly in a year," Contact Music quoted the actress as saying. "She will have been affected and she's not an idiot. She's gonna have to change her thinking about indulgence." But costumer Pat, who was also responsible for the fab fashions in "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic," put her well-shod foot down, saying there will be none of the sort. Megan FoxIt's the paparazzi shot seen 'round the world: Starlet Megan Fox snubbing a young fan as he tries to hand her a long-stemmed yellow rose at the London "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" premiere. The 23-year-old received quite a bit of flack for ignoring her eager acolyte, but she insisted it wasn't intentional.

"There were, like, 80 million people everywhere," she told Collider.com. "It’s dark, all I see are flashes. Everyone’s yelling different things … and I didn’t know that was happening." Offering a heartfelt apology, Megan added, "I’m sorry, sweet boy. I would never do that to you, and I would gladly accept your rose if I see you again." Read More...

Step UpFilming has officially begun in New York City on the third "Step Up" movie, which follows a tight-knit group of street dancers trying to beat some of the world's best breakdancers in a showdown. Alyson Stoner and Adam Sevani reprise their roles from the first two dance dramas, but along with a few familiar faces expect to see something else new (no, not any street dancers busting out to "Macarena"): 3-D cinematography.

The third "Step Up" is the first 3-D movie to film entirely in New York City, and also the first-ever 3-D dance flick. Expect a summer 2010 release, but in the meantime, check out our list of the familiar Big Apple sites we're thrilled to see on the big screen in 3-D ... and which ones we're not so sure about.

Thrilled to see pop out of the screen:

1. THE ARCHITECTURE
New York is home to some of the most famous and fabulous structures in the world (the Chrysler Building is a personal fave), so I wouldn't mind getting an up-close view of all those flying buttresses and groin vaults. Read More...

Heidi Klum BarbieBarbie's had a busy week. First, Mattel announced they would be releasing Barbie and Ken versions of "Twilight"'s star-crossed lovers Bella and Edward. Now comes news the 50-year-old icon will be fashioned into the likeness of "Project Runway" host Heidi Klum. Forget mid-life crisis, it sounds like poor Barbie is having an identity crisis!

According to E! Online, the German supermodel's mini-me will be part of the Blonde Ambition collection, which already includes doppelgangers of Goldie Hawn and Marilyn Monroe, and will be in stores later this year. Read More...

Forget "Who Moved My Cheese?" It appears Audrina Patridge is drawing career advice from a much hotter source: The pages of Paris Hilton's playbook.

The 24-year-old "Hills" star has been making some savvy career choices lately, landing a role in the upcoming horror flick "Sorority Row" and a sexy spot in a Carl's Jr. ad. But it feels oddly familiar.

Four years ago, the hotel heiress landed her own role in a horror flick, 2005's "House of Wax," where, like Audrina, she also met an untimely end. And that same year, Paris raised eyebrows by donning a barely-there one-piece to suds up a car in her own Carl's Jr. ad. But the similarities don't end there. Press play on our video below to see the evidence and judge for yourself. Are Audrina and Paris morphing into the same person?

Mark ZuckerbergAs Facebook didn't already consume hours of my time, now I can spend a couple more (and $12) to see the story of its inception brought to the big screen. "The Social Network," based on the soon-to-be released "Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal" by Ben Mezrich, tells the story of the site's creation in 2004 by then-Harvard sophomore Mark Zuckerberg (pictured, right). News that David Fincher ("The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Fight Club") is in talks to direct the tale, got us wondering who would be the best Mark for the movie. Here are Hollywood Crush's top five nominees.

Fincher, we hope you're paying attention ...
Jesse Eisenberg
1.Jesse Eisenberg

The 25-year-old "Adventureland" star's familiar mop-top and "I'd love to do your math homework" vibe make him one of our front-runners. And, like Mark, Jesse was raised in New York by a Jewish family. Read More...

Lip VenomAttention "Twilight" shoppers. We hope you're saving your pennies, because there's even more movie-themed merch coming your way. Earlier this week, Mattel unveiled its Barbie and Ken versions of our beloved Bella and Edward, then just yesterday we got a sneak peek at the movie tie-in book cover for "New Moon." The latest entrant in the "Twilight" product pantheon, however, might just be my favorite: "Twilight" makeup!

According to Grazia Daily, DuWop cosmetics — the same brand the "New Moon" makeup artists used on set — is launching its own "Twilight" line, and the first item to come out of the lab is a limited-edition preview of Lip Venom V, the "Twilight" version of its popular lip-plumping gloss.
