When we hung out with Darby Stanchfield yesterday (she plays redhead gladiator Abby Whelan on the hit ABC show), she was tight-lipped on spoilers for the highly anticipated "Scandal" season premiere, but did hint that it would be "explosive, dangerous and sneaky." Between Olivia's dad officially earning the honor of Worst Dad Ever and [*SPOILER ALERT*] learning that Fitz was behind the press leak about his affair with Olivia, we're already counting down the seconds until the next scandal-filled episode.
"Season 3 is just as scandalous, if not more so, than Season 2," Darby said. "It's crazy good! That shock-and-awe element with these bombs that are dropped every episode, it continues in Season 3."
The snow from Superstorm Nemo has mostly melted by now, but our favorite celebs are still favoring white-hot winter looks. One Oscar nominee looked anything but "Misérables" in white fur, while another starlet looked ready for a "Spring Breakers" wet T-shirt contest. Read on to find out the winner of this week’s Style Superstar honors!
Anne Hathaway was pixie perfect at a recent fundraising event in Los Angeles. She accessorized her adorable three-quarter sleeve white mesh mini dress with a metallic purse and heels, and then topped it off with an elegant off-white fur coat. It can be difficult to play with proportions like this, but Annie’s an expert; the cropped coat stands out without having to compete for attention. If she had been on the freezing East Coast instead of sunny California, her outfit would have looked just as fantastic with a pair of thick black tights. Well done, Ms. Hathaway!
New York, London, Paris, Milan and...Forks? Yes, Twilighters. With all the cutting edge, jaw-dropping, iconic fashion that’s come out of "The Twilight Saga" over the last few years, both on and off screen, we’re officially declaring the Washington town a new fashion capital of the world. Let’s indulge our sartorial sides and take a look back at some of the best looks by the "Twilight" crew (both on and off screen).
The evolution of Kristen Stewart has definitely been one of the highlights of following the saga through five movies. From her awkward days in Converse and jeans to her screen siren look at Monday’s big "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" premiere, Kristen sure has come a long way. We saw hints of the stylishness that was to come in this color-blocked asymmetrical dress that she wore to the Los Angeles premiere of "Twilight." Skipping over the "New Moon" promotional tour (remember the remnants of her "Runaways" mullet? Yeah, we’d rather forget, too.), KStew's penchant for one-sleeved dresses while out shilling "Eclipse" suited her well. And of course, to close out the series in style, Kristen wowed us all this week in a stunning nude lace gown, flowing hair and red lips—clear evidence that this formerly introverted actress has truly blossomed in the spotlight.
Your friends will turn fifty shades of jealous when you turn up for your Halloween party as "Fifty Shades" trilogy protagonist Anastasia Steele. And who knows? Perhaps there will be a young, handsome, psychologically disturbed billionaire at the soiree waiting to tie you to his bedpost. Or not. But hey, it’s good to be ready, just in case.
To pull off the authentic Anastasia Steele look, you need to start with a fabulous grey dress, like a
romantic lace frock ($49.25, ASOS), something more buttoned-up and business chic ($79.90, Zara), or a long, sleek dress that shows off a hint of skin ($29.95, H&M). The key to Christian’s desire for Ana is that her look is 95 percent innocent, 5 percent sexy; use this as a guide when selecting the right dress for you.
We love our summer TV shows, like "Pretty Little Liars" and "True Blood," but the must-see event of the season will undoubtedly be the Olympics. Every other year, the games make celebrities out of a few star athletes, like Michael Phelps and Shawn Johnson, but what if we flipped that trend around and placed some of our favorite celebrities into the mix as Olympic athletes? Here, we present to you some gold medal contenders from the Hollywood Crush Olympic Team.
Archery: Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer studied archery for six weeks to portray the bow-slinging Katniss Everdeen on screen. If she can shoot a squirrel square in the eye, she can hit a bullseye in the Olympic arena.
Women's Gymnastics: Miley Cyrus
The soon-to-be Mrs. Hemsworth is a devoted Pilates practitioner and before her Disney starlet days, she was a cheerleader. Nastia who?
Men's Gymnastics: Channing Tatum
Channing is strong yet flexible, his moves are smooth yet sharp and his body earns a perfect 10. Plus, we know from "Magic Mike" that he’s skilled at showing a bar who’s boss.
We told you back in January that Kristen Stewart signed on to be the face of Balenciaga’s new scent. Today, we bring you all the delicious details about the new fragrance and how the non-perfume-wearing KStew ended up as spokeswoman for a luxury fashion house.
Women’s Wear Daily reports that the fragrance, named Florabotanica, will be released in September. Kristen describes Florabotanica as "natural" and "alive." "I think that as a young person wearing it, it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me out,’" she told the trade magazine.
We’ve already started planning our Fourth of July celebrations next week. Burgers? Check. Fireworks? Check. Red, white and blue cookies? Check, check, check. However, some of our friends from Canada get to celebrate their country’s birthday a few days earlier than ours, on July 1. In honor of Canada’s 145th birthday this weekend, we give you Hollywood Crush’s Seven Pop-Culture Things We Love A-boot Canada.
Carly Rae Jepsen
We just met her, and this is crazy, but Canadian crooner Carly Rae Jepsen brought us the song of the summer, "Call Me Maybe." Her new duet with Owl City, "Good Time," dropped this week and it’s just as catchy and dance-inducing as her breakout hit. Before she came into our lives we missed her so bad; thank you, Canada, for Carly Rae Jepsen!
We love when A-list stars have movies coming out. Normally reclusive types, like Kristen
Stewart or Angelina Jolie, suddenly emerge from hiding to hit red carpets in Los Angeles, New York and London, as well as stump on talk shows, at press conferences and other buzz-worthy events. Though not as high-profile or, let’s face it, reclusive as some, dancer/singer/actress/Seacrest-arm-candy Julianne Hough worked her little tail off all week to promote the opening of her movie musical "Rock of Ages." And jeez, did she work it! Julianne’s bright turquoise heels at an NYC "Rock of Ages" screening, black lace cut-out dress at the MTV Movie Awards and an Angelina-worthy thigh-high slit at Spike TV’s Guy’s Choice Awards were all impressive. Keep reading to find out which look has us singing her praises, and which was way off-key.
The CFDA Awards are like the Academy Awards of the fashion world. Most people were focused on the night’s big winners, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, but we couldn’t take our eyes off Ms. Hough. Her stunning lady in red look, courtesy of a beautiful Kaufman Franco gown, stood out for its plunging neckline, flattering fit and minimal accessorizing. Love, love, love it.
We’ve been bestowing our Style Superstar honors for a while now, so for this week’s edition, we decided to switch it up a bit. Yes, we’ll still fill you in on Young Hollywood’s best and worst dressed, but since both ladies are two of our biggest crushes, we wanted to pen them letters of love as we break the big news. Read on to see who showed off some mean style and whose outfit was a little less than what we were expecting.
You’re awesome. In the last few months alone, you sang on Ellen with Zac Efron, wrote some of "The Hunger Games" soundtrack and won two Grammys. We’d wish we could just be jealous and hate you, but when you wear an oh-so-sexy yet remarkably sweet showstopper like this red Elie Saab gown, we simply fall in love with you all over again. You always stay true to who you are even as you’re growing up, and we know that underneath that slicked straight coif is the same old small-town girl we’ve gotten to know through song over the last few years. Congrats on winning Style Superstar, yet again. We can’t wait until your next red carpet event!
So. Much. Glee. Last night’s two-hour, double episode was like a "Glee" movie, and just like "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie," it was light on plot but full of memorable moments.
As New Directions prepares for Nationals, Sue is worried that Vocal Adrenaline can’t be beat now that they have the extraordinarily talented, cross-dressing Unique. To compensate, she tries to coerce Kurt into wearing a dress. While he refuses, this does lead to a hilarious Kurt/Blaine flashback to Halloween, when they dressed up as Snooki and The Situation, respectively. Love it!
Still pining over her failed NYADA audition, Rachel leaves judge Carmen Tibideaux a 15th voicemail asking for another chance.
