Jane Austen Goes to HollywoodBy now, the story of Jane Austen's classic novel "Pride and Prejudice" has been told, and re-told so often that one need only say the words "Mr. Darcy" in an English accent to cause uncontrollable swooning on the part of every girl in a five-mile radius. And honestly, we are fatigued. We need a little R&R from all this P&P! Which is why it's so extremely exciting that we've got our grubby little romance-loving mitts on an entirely new re-imagining of a classic Austen tale: an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at the first three chapters of Abby McDonald's new YA novel, "Jane Austen Goes to Hollywood"!

And the Bennett family had better scoot out of the way, because the focus now is on a whole 'nother pair of sisters who are looking for love in all the wrong places. "Jane Austen Goes to Hollywood" is a contemporary retelling of another, equally amazing classic tale by the Edwardian authoress, and just as romantic as ever. (If you need a hint: the drawing room drama has been updated with some modern-day sense and west-coast sensibility, ahem, AHEM.)

Kristen StewartIf you liked seeing Kristen Stewart suit up in medieval armor and speak with an English accent in last year's gothic-awesome fairytale reboot of "Snow White and the Hunstman," then you're gonna like the heck out of this: Universal has officially confirmed that the actress will star in the film's sequel, which is very definitely in development for the coming year. Just Jared has the direct scoop from studio chairman Adam Fogelson, who announced the news yesterday at CinemaCon.

The announcement comes on the heels of much speculation about Kristen having been dropped from the sequel last year—a rumor that persisted despite repeated reminders from basically everybody involved that it was all a bunch of horse biscuits. (Director Rupert Sanders, on the other hand, will not be returning.)

After Netflix's first, cerebral, sardonic foray into original programming with the political thriller "House of Cards," we don't know quite what we were expecting from their second binge-watch-ready direct-to-web series—more dialogue-driven drama, maybe, or a new riff on Kevin Spacey's smug/fabulous monologuing straight into the camera? But whatever our expectations, our EXCLUSIVE red-band trailer for "Hemlock Grove" has exceeded them, and then some, to the point where we cannot actually form coherent sentences due to its lingering effects; all we've got is a general sense of unbridled anticipation plus some fragmented mumbling about werewolves and worms and what unsettling thing may or may not be hiding inside Bill SkarsgĂ„rd's pants.

And if that doesn't make sense to you, don't worry. IT WILL.

After hearing so much talk of shenanigans on the set of "The Hunger Games," we thought for sure that the newbies in the "Catching Fire" cast would be in for some major hazing at the hands of their fellow tributes (particularly Jennifer Lawrence, whose goat-getting abilities are legend for obvious reasons). But when we caught up with Alan Ritchson, who joined the cast this year as career tribute Gloss, he had nothing but good things to say about his experience making the film.

"No hazing, fortunately," he said, laughing. Instead, he described "Catching Fire" as a great place to be, adding, "But to be a part of that, it was pretty cool. Jennifer's star just continued to rise, even through production...it was just cool to be there."

Tony GoldwynWith the Dauntless train rolling out of the station and production underway on the "Divergent" movie as of last week, there was still one very important question the filmmakers had yet to answer—and that question, of course, was Who's your daddy?!

Because despite the film already having begun shooting in Chicago, one important character had yet to be cast: Andrew Prior, the stoic and selfless father of heroine Tris, whose quiet strength makes him such an asset to the Abnegation faction (and such a cipher to his hot-blooded, action-craving daughter). But now, the Prior family tree is fully fleshed out! According to Entertainment Weekly, actor Tony Goldwyn is officially on board to play the role (and earlier rumors about Aaron Eckhart having been cast were, apparently, all a bunch of hooey).

If you're among the "The Hunger Games" fans who tuned in to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards and witnessed the debut of the teaser for "Catching Fire," your reaction to seeing the first ever peek at what's in store for Katniss, Peeta and the citizens of Panem come November was probably something like AAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH *HYPERVENTILATES* *RUNS IN CIRCLES* *FLAILS OFF A CLIFF*.

...And that's okay! Because while the rest of us flailed and squealed our way into a concussion, a full-body cast and a lovely night spent behind bars at our local police precinct, MTV had a trio of experts (Erin Gross, The HungerGamesMovies.net; Kimmy West, Mockingjay.net; and Amie Bohannon, HGGirlOnFire.com) ready behind the scenes to offer the sort of eloquent, insightful, sedately non-flailing response to the "Catching Fire" tease that most of us could only have achieved through the use of a full-body straitjacket and a nice shot of horse tranquilizers. Check out the video to see our three cool-as-a-cucumber aficionados as they weigh in on their favorite things about the trailer—including Katniss' brave face as she stared down the barrel of a gun, a grim and grownup Prim preparing to join the revolution and the fact that we didn't see so much as a second of arena action. (No, really, this is a good thing! The experts say so!)

Clockwork AngelWith everything from "Divergent" to "The Fault in Our Stars" to "The Hunger Games" franchise on Hollywood's to-do list, there's no shortage of YA book-to-movie adaptations for audiences to get super psyched about— but you'd better make room on your radar, 'cause things are starting to roll on yet another much-loved novel that's bound for the big screen. We already knew that an option was on the table for the first in Cassandra Clare's "Infernal Devices" series, but the latest news is this: per The Hollywood Reporter, the film has officially got its screenwriter on board!

"Infernal Devices" is the literary prequel to "Mortal Instruments," a series set in Victorian England that explores the world of the driven, demon-slaying Shadowhunters and the supernaturally gifted Downworlders with whom they have an uneasy relationship. Stephanie Sanditz, who also penned the script for an in-development movie adaptation of one of Meg Cabot's books, will helm the writing process.

What this means for fans: Even if the movie adaptation of "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" never sees a sequel (...are words we can barely write without sobbing), there will likely be at least one more movie featuring hottie Shadowhunters and age-old conflicts playing out against a backdrop of awesome urban grit to get excited for. Plus, corsets! Wheeee!

If you're still deliberating as to which qualified candidates for MTV Movie Awards supremacy should get your vote...well, hey, we understand! After all, this is serious business; you can't just have some rando candidate running around with a Golden Popcorn in their hands. But since your window of opportunity to vote is closing fast—like, only-48-hours-to-go fast—we're devoting this last day before Awards weekend to an all-important voter education initiative: wherein we call in an expert to analyze the likely winners in a competitive category.

Under scrutiny today: the Best Kiss contenders! And while we all like to think that we're experts in kissing, the man weighing in on our nominees actually wrote the book on it, so listen up. William Cane, author of "The Art of Kissing," viewed all five clips in contention for the "Best Kiss" title...and while he admits that pretty much all the nominees follow proper kissing protocol, he declared Logan Lerman's passionate kiss with Emma Watson in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" his favorite for the win.

It's been a long time coming, ladies and gents, but Miss Ashley Tisdale has finally found herself on the right side of our Style Superstar feature! ...And by "right," we actually mean "left," since that's where we put our pictured pick for most favoritest red carpet outfit each week. Whatever. Semantics. The point is, Ashley sported this Maria Lucia Hohan gown at the Los Angeles premiere of "Scary Movie 5"—and we could just scream, it looks so good.

This grownup, gothic glamour is just the thing for an actress who's struggled to inject a little maturity into her wardrobe. Oftentimes, Ashley walks the red carpet in looks that would be more appropriate for a teenage girl; this time, she went big with a sleek silhouette, a sparkly fabric and lots of alluring cutout details that showed off her flawless figure and made her look every inch the grownup lady she is. Own it, Ashley! (Sure, the vibe of the thing is a little "Elvira"—but where else would you wear such a thing if not to the L.A. premiere of a spoof horror flick?) The only thing that stinks about this dress is how nobody managed to catch it from a better angle; we would have loved to see it in motion.

Christian BaleWe've spent all week being squeezed between the digital pecs of every MTV Movie Awards nominee for Best Shirtless Performance, and at this point, we've seen it all. Channing Tatum has graced this blog with his shirtless dance moves; Taylor Lautner stripped down in the rain; Ted mixed us a dirty martini; and Daniel Craig rose up out of the ocean like a beefcake submarine. Ayooooogah, ladies. But in this week-long retrospective of our five fine shirtless performers, we may have just saved the best for last. Up today? It's Christian Bale, whose shirtless convalescence from a broken vertebrae in "The Dark Knight Rises" was an extraordinary show of strength in the face of adversity—and, more importantly, an extraordinary show of naked torso in the face of everyone. Unf.

But long before Bane broke Batman's magnificently-defined back, Christian was taking his top off all over Hollywood—showing us the goods that would one day net him this much-coveted nomination for Best Shirtlessness. And if you take a peek at our GIF retrospective of his shirtless oeuvre, you'll see that he's clearly spent his entire career planning for this moment.
