Cue the blood, lust, danger and desire. "Vampire Diaries" is back (almost), and it's looking darker and more delectable than ever. Following up a slew of images featuring the show's stars taking bites out of blood-soaked fruit, The CW has released a new preview of season three, appropriately titled "Appetites." Let's just say after watching, ours was considerably increased for the show's return on September 15.
The new preview is loaded with teases of temptation, seduction, obsession and destruction. It's also got a cake filled with (what else?) blood and quite a few notable sneak peeks at what's to come in the next few episodes. Check out what to watch for after the jump!
If you thought Vicki's return to the "The Vampire Diaries" was going to be a peaceful one, guess again. While death may have tamed her, Casper the Friendly Ghost she most certainly is not.
Yesterday we caught up with Vicki's real-life alter ego Kayla Ewell to chat about her guest appearance on "The Glades" (airing Sunday at 10 p.m./ 9 C on A&E) and talk inevitably turned to our favorite CW series and, more specifically, how Vicki has changed since joining the after-life and how her return will affect Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen).
"Did death reform her? Of course it did. But it didn’t change her completely," Kayla said. "I’m still going to be a little bit of the trouble-maker, and I kind of just don’t know any other way to be."
You guys! It’s here! After countless teasers and scoops these past few weeks (and even one blink-and-you'll-miss-it sneak peek of Damon), The CW has finally released a full-blown, 30-second promo for the new season of "The Vampire Diaries"…and it looks EPIC. From Stefan taking a bite out of the action (literally), to Elena’s longing looks, there’s just too much deliciousness to discuss. Watch the promo now and keep reading below for our breakdown. (Beware! Spoilers abound!)
Okay, first of all, can we please discuss how Stefan is like an entirely different character? I mean, we’ve seen him be bad before but not THIS bad. The gentle soul we knew from seasons past is now off chomping on unsuspecting victims with Klaus by his side, and from what we can tell, one of his late night snacks is a familiar face. (Let’s just say Mystic Falls may be short one news reporter after next season.)
Good news "Vampire Diaries" fans! After countless impostors, the real Steven R. McQueen has finally(!) joined Twitter, The CW confirmed.
"I know, I gave into twitter. Thanks for responding to my neglect with all the love. You guys rock!" Steven tweeted from the handle @McQueeninchains, along with a picture of a totally adorbs dog (how much do we love that he's already about the Twit pics?).
"Vampire Diaries" fans, get ready to meet a character who’s about to out-bad Klaus!
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Sebastian Roche, who you might know best as Balthazar on “Supernatural” or Jerry Jax on "General Hospital" (or maybe that last one’s just us...), is headed to town this fall as a "mysterious vampire hunter," who even has our favorite hybrid biting his claws.
"For some reason, Klaus, who shouldn’t be afraid of anybody, seems to be concerned about this person," Julie Plec told EW. While the details on this new character are still sparse, fans can expect to see him pop-up somewhere within the first half of the season.
Forget vampires, witches, werewolves and hybrids, the next season of "The Vampire Diaries" is clearly shaping up to be all about ex-girlfriends.
"Pretty Little Liars" star Claire Holt has just been cast as Rebecca (otherwise known as Bex), a girl from Stefan's ravenous ripper days, who will make her mark on Mystic Falls, reports Zap2It. The details surrounding Bex's arrival to town are still a little fuzzy, but considering this is "TVD," we've got a feeling it's got little to do with reminiscing about the
good evil times she spent with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and more about stirring up some trouble. So, what really brings Bex to town? It's time to play the "TVD" guessing game! (You know, the one where we share our five wildest theories that are inevitably never right because the writers are always 10 steps ahead? That one.). Check out why we think Stefan's old flame is coming to Mystic Falls and share your best guesses after the jump.
Deadly vampires. Cunning werewolves. Powerful witches.
Over the past two seasons of "The Vampire Diaries," Bonnie (Kat Graham) has faced 'em all with ease. But now, she's up against an entirely new kind of enemy: the ex-girlfriend. Two, actually. Both of whom have come back from the dead to haunt her boyfriend. Talk. About. Baggage.
We caught up with Kat recently at the Television Critics Association red carpet where she told us that she's not yet sure when Bonnie will find out about Jeremy's (Steven R. McQueen) recent "visitors." But if or when (we're going with the latter here) she does, fans can definitely expect to see a little of Bonnie's possessive side come out.
"We've seen her crushing, falling in love but we've never really seen her be the jealous girlfriend," Kat told MTV News. "So that would be kind of cool to explore."
Confession time: We're a little nervous about season three of "Vampire Diaries." We've never been big on change, and with Stefan (Paul Wesley) going to the dark side and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) embracing his inner anti-hero, it's pretty clear that Mystic Falls is about to get a heavy dose of it.
So when we caught up with Nina Dobrev during San Diego Comic-Con, we asked her to weigh in on how she feels about her main men (on screen at least!) switching roles. Luckily, she's handling it a lot better than we are.
"Paul is very happy that Stefan is now going to the bad side," Nina said. "He's really excited about it, and I think it's going to be great for him. He's a very strong actor, so it's awesome."
Let's face it, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) is no white knight. Sure, he's saved his fair share of damsels in distress (we're looking at you, Elena!), but when it comes down to it, we all know he'd rather be biting their necks. Yet, with Stefan (Paul Wesley) enjoying a ride on the dark side in season three of "Vampire Diaries," will Damon be forced into the role of a hero?
We caught up with Ian during Comic-Con, we got all the deets on a potentially kinder, gentler Damon and what it will mean for his relationship (or lack thereof) with Elena (Nina Dobrev).
"I would say anti-hero," Ian mused (instantly making us feel better because we prefer our Damon with a little edge!). Ian explained that Stefan's decision to ditch the good guy role in favor of wreaking havoc with Klaus (Joseph Morgan), will cause a lot of headaches for Damon.
We're generally used to seeing the likes of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez at big-time music award shows or even movie premieres, but last night we got a special treat as the totally cute and karaoking duo arrived at the ESPY Awards to honor excellence in sports. Both Sel and the Biebs opted to go all black for the event, and they weren't the only ones. Other stars including "The Voice" judge Cee Lo Green and "Entourage" star Emmanuelle Chriqui also made black their color of choice. But who wore it best? Check out their looks below and let us know what you think.
How can you not love a couple who sings together and color coordinates? While Justin was covered in black from head to toe (well almost, his sneakers had a hint of white and silver spikes), in a dark shirt and sparkly sweater, Selena decided to show a little more skin in a short and shapely dress. Sel accessorized her look with gold baubles and shoes with multiple black straps.
