"7th Heaven"'s David Gallagher is all grown up! You may have spotted him most recently in J.J. Abram's "Super 8," but we bet you know him best as one of the adorable young Camden siblings. And now he's ready to take on a very different role, joining the vampires, werewolves, witches (and now ghosts!) of "The Vampire Diaries" as Ray Sutton, a werewolf who has a not-so-friendly run in with Klaus (Joseph Morgan), TVLine reports.
David will only be sticking around for the first two episodes, and while we're not sure exactly what fate (if any) he meets, we've got a feeling it'll end up with a ripped out heart or something equally gruesome (can't expect anything less from Klaus, right?).
Let's face it, Thursday nights just haven't been the same since Mystic Falls' finest went on summer hiatus. So, naturally, we were more than a little excited when some of our favorite "Vampire Diaries" cast members tweeted yesterday that they were finally back on set. Granted, we're still two long months away from the actual premiere, but at least now that filming has started again we can obsess over every little detail that slips out, like, for instance, this photo of Nina Dobrev on set that Matt Davis posted this morning.
While the photo doesn't spoil anything major, it definitely gives us a lot to think about (we're not even going to try to deny the fact that we spent all day analyzing it!). What caught us most off guard about the image is Elena's (assuming that's even her!) look, which is decidedly very un-Elena like. Now, don't get us wrong, we're all about Elena spicing up her wardrobe (especially since Katherine usually gets to wear all the risque stuff), but since when does she wear flashy red halters? Or put her hair up in a bun? She's more of a long T-shirts and sweaters kind of gal. Obviously, we had to get to the bottom of this.
If there's one thing we learned about Shia LaBeouf from his new Details profile, it's that he isn't afraid of a little kiss and tell. The "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" star, whose new movie hits theaters tomorrow, opened up to the magazine about fame, family and future projects, but it's his comments about ex co-star Megan Fox (trust us, we were just as shocked as you) that are causing the most buzz.
While Shia didn't get into specifics about their "relationship" (we're using that term loosely), he did say that it was a result of spending a lot of time together on the "Transformers" set. (In case you missed it, Megan has been replaced by model Rosie Huntington-Whitley for the latest installment of the series).
"I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen," he said. Though his revelation about Megan sparked a ton of chatter, it wasn't the only eyebrow-raising tidbit from the interview. Check out five other notable soundbites from Shia's Details profile after the jump:
Between jetting off to awards shows, filming "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" and gearing up for season three of "The Vampire Diaries" in September, there's no question that Nina Dobrev has a lot on her plate. But is it too much?
We caught up with Nina at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards post party earlier this month—where we found her unwinding with "TVD" executive producer Julie Plec and co-stars Steven R. McQueen and Kayla Ewell—to get the scoop on how she manages her workload and whether, after two seasons, it's still exciting to slip into the roles of Elena and Katherine.
"It's definitely fun still," Nina said (feel free to let out that sigh of relief!). The 22-year-old, however, shared that since the show is so fast paced, she sometimes fears they might run out of twists and turns for the viewers. (Confession: We've totally been afraid of that too!) "I wonder when we're going to burn out and when there won't be anymore story to tell," she said.
Luckily, that's where scribe Julie comes in.
Yesterday, The CW gave us good reason to pull out our calendars when they announced the highly anticipated (at least by us!) fall premiere dates for their roster of shows, including "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Secret Circle" (September 15 for both in case you're curious!). Well, now we've got some more notable dates to add.
Warner Bros. announced today that stars from "TVD," "The Secret Circle" and more will be taking part in this year's San Diego Comic-Con, which runs July 21-24 (in other words, book your tickets now).
It's pretty much the battle of the blonds at the box office this month as Blake Lively's "Green Lantern" (which opens today) prepares to take on Cameron Diaz's "Bad Teacher" (hitting theaters June 24th). Blake and Cam are kind of our faves, and they've done an awesome job getting us excited about their flick these past few weeks. The two ladies have stepped out on countless red carpets and photocalls in support of their films, and they've been rocking some great looks too. Of course, when you're rushing from one event to another you're bound to make a fashion flub or two. Keep reading to find out which leading lady was flawless throughout, and which one needed a slight wardrobe revision.
Girls take note: You don't have to be over the top and fully decked out to earn top style accolades. Cameron was spot-on at a photocall for her new movie "Bad Teacher" (co-starring ex Justin Timberlake) in a linen dress, which she accessorized with a brown belt and matching shoes. The look was laid back but so well put together (and very easily replicable for all the burgeoning fashionistas out there), and for that she's this week's Style Superstar.
Kristen Stewart might be one of young Hollywood's most elusive stars, but when she makes an appearance, she makes it worthwhile. This past week alone, KStew hit the red carpet for two events (and almost shared a kiss with Robert Pattinson at one of them!). On Sunday, she attended the MTV Movie Awards, where she helped debut the new "Breaking Dawn" trailer (how awesome was that?), and then she flew to London for the Glamour Women of the Year awards (quite the jet-setter she is!).
Now, for most people, the jet-lag alone would be enough to drag down their red carpet style, but that wasn't the case for Kristen, who looked fresh and fab at both events in very different looks (albeit from the same designer). At the Movie Awards, Kristen caught everyone's eye in a bold Balmain strapless red dress adorned with safety pins and accessorized with black heels. She changed it up for the Glamour Women of the Year awards (although she stuck to strapless and Balmain), wearing a white printed dress paired with matching heels.
After months and months of soldiering through the cold (that's what we get for living in New York City!), it seems like summer is finally around the corner. The temperature is up, the sandals are out and perhaps most importantly (at least for us!), summer blockbusters are starting to hit theaters. From "The Hangover Part II" to "Super 8" there are plenty of buzzworthy films making their debuts. One flick we're especially excited to see is "X-Men: First Class," a movie with a lot of promise and even bigger stars—many of whom hit the premiere this week in New York. We scoped out the carpet to find out which "X-Men" star has first class style, and which one needs another reboot. Check out our pick for Style Superstar below.
As always, Rose Byrne was the epitome of elegance at the premiere, where she floored us in a dark lace dress by Marc Jacobs. We loved this look on Rose and thought her decision to throw on some nude heels and keep it light on the accessories was totally on point. Also, that hair. So fab. Not that we should be surprised, it's not like this is the first time Rose has nabbed Style Superstar status.
Now that you've had a while to digest the fact that Kim Kardashian is engaged, it's time to get to the good stuff. No, we're not talking about the proposal, or the romance with fiance Kris Humphries—we're talking about the purported TWO MILLION DOLLAR diamond that's now sitting on her finger. Uh yeah.
According to People (where you can see her rock in all its multi-million dollar glory), Kris worked with jewelery maven Lorraine Schwartz to design the custom 20.5 carat bauble. While the couple didn't disclose the dollar value, TMZ didn't hesitate to report that it supposedly cost about half as much as her Beverly Hills mansion. Chump change, right?
Kim's not the first celeb to sport some serious engagement ring bling though. Check out the sparklers on these other recently affianced stars to see how they compare.
In case you hadn't already heard the good news, Kim Kardashian is officially off the market! Kim's boyfriend of six months and New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries popped the question last week, and the duo announced their engagement today on the cover of People magazine.
"I couldn’t be happier!" Kim wrote on her blog this morning. "I finally found my missing puzzle piece, I’m complete!"
Now, don't get us wrong, we couldn't be happier for Kim, but we're also a little worried. After all, Kim's engagement means we're going to have to fit yet another celebrity wedding into our schedules. Granted, we're not actually invited to any of the upcoming celeb nuptials (not yet at least!), but obsessing about these events requires a lot of time! If you've got the same concern, then don't despair. We've parsed through all the recently engaged couples and put together a handy calendar of when we think they'll tie the knot (we'll update it with official dates when we get our invitations in the mail), so you can plan accordingly.
