Megan Fox By Sandra Segura

Yesterday, we published a post in which we noted that The UK's Daily Star had reported that “Transformers” star Megan Fox turned down the offer to play the role of a lifetime: The infamous Bond Girl. Apparently, the story was (as we were hoping) false! While at Comi-Con in San Diego promoting her latest films “Jennifer’s Body” and “Jonah Hex,” Megan spoke with EXTRA and cleared up the ridiculous rumor. "No one ever talked to me about doing that movie," she said. "I would never turn something like that down."

Thank goodness! It seems to us that the feisty Megan Fox was born to play such a role. Known for being adventuresome and quite scandalous, the Bond Girl is always a highly sought-after role for Hollywood actresses. Previous Bond Girls include Halle Berry, Eva Green, Michelle Yeoh and Jane Seynour. Every rumor has a little truth in it, though, right? So, maybe an offer is on its way towards Megan Fox.

What do you think? Should she should be the next Bond Girl?

Alicia Silverstone In the 90s, Alicia Silverstone was the girl of the moment. She starred in several Aerosmith music videos and thanks to her work in the now-classic high school flick, "Clueless," she helped changed the way teen culture looked and felt in 1995. In many ways, Alicia will always be known us best as the fashion-forward, slightly air-headed Cher Horowitz.

And after a slew of movies that few people saw (though we'll always kind of love "Blast from the Past") and a failed TV show, "Miss Match," Alicia seemed to sort of disappear in the world of smaller films and as a PETA activist. Read More...

Xavier Samuel Over the past week, many of you spoke out in support of "Harry Potter" Star Tom Felton to get the part of Riley in the third "Twilight Saga" film "Eclipse." (Yes, we even noticed there was a petition for the cause!) But now, it seems your "Harry-Potter"-meets-"Twilight" dreams (er, second-time around dreams, seeing as how Robert Pattinson was a member of Hogwarts before Forks) have been crushed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog, a virtually unknown actor from Down Under named Xavier Samuel will be stepping into the shoes of the attractive newborn vampire — and member of Victoria's (Rachelle Lefevre) army — who is out to get Bella (Kristen Stewart) in "Eclipse." Emma WatsonSure Emma Watson might have confirmed her enrollment at Brown University this fall where she'll be reading a lot of literature, but we're still not quite sure if she'll be taking time away from playing coed to play Cinderella in Marilyn Manson's musical version of the fairytale.

According to a report in The Sun, the "Harry Potter" star would play the title character in the film produced by the 90s goth rocker. And much like Manson's music and aesthetic, the film would be a gothic retelling of the famous children's story. No word on if Manson will direct or write the screenplay for the flick. Read More...

Alexander Skarsgard, Kate Bosworth and James MarsdenFROM MOVIES BLOG:Alexander Skarsgard may have lost the chance to wield Thor's hammer, but at least he'll get to terrorize the heck out of Cyclops and Lois Lane. According to Variety, Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth are set to costar with James Marsden in "Straw Dogs," Rod Lurie's controversial remake of Sam Peckinpah's 1971 classic thriller.

Peckinpah's original "Dogs" is the tale of a timid college professor named David (Dustin Hoffman) who relocates to his wife's native town of Cornwall. The distant intellectual immediately alienates the local workmen, who take a fancy to his wife Amy, who is herself feeling neglected by her husband. Tension builds between the couple, and between Amy and the workmen (one of whom is her ex-lover), eventually erupting into savage, horrific violence. "Dogs" was extremely controversial when it was released in 1971, and it remains a film of fierce debate.

Miley Cyrus Temple Hill Productions partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey — better known as two members of the team who originally brought "Twilight" to the big screen — are now planning to work with another rising star, Miley Cyrus. Variety reported today that Temple Hill, along with Miley's mama Tish Cyrus (who will act as exec producer), will produce Miley's next project "Wings."

Based on a young adult novel by Aprilynne Pike, which Disney just acquired the rights to, "Wings" is a fantasy which centers on a 15-year-old named Laurel (Miley) who after being home-schooled for most of her life, begins attending public school just as she discovers a bump on her back that eventually grows into a set of wings, thus making her a fairy. Hugh JackmanDo you want to know the five little words that could send any girl's heart racing? I believe they'd be "Ding Dong! Hugh Jackman calling!" What if he came bearing the gifts of a perfect lipstick and foundation? Yes, he's going to toy with us in just such a way, because Variety reports that Fox has bought "Avon Man," a comedy written by Kevin Bisch ("Hitch"), and set it up for Jackman to star in and produce via his Seed Productions.

The story draws a bit from the British comedy "The Fully Monty," and follows a group of car salesmen who are abruptly laid off from their dealership. One man (Jackman) reluctantly becomes an Avon salesman in order to feed his family. While he initially finds his gig to be an embarrassing slam on his manhood, he soon finds that his stunning looks and rakish charm are a big hit, and make him a top Avon seller. He sets out to save the entire town by recruiting all the unemployed men into the cosmetic business in order to win a regional contest. Read More...

Henry CavillFROM SPLASH PAGE:There’s an old idiom that goes, “Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.” When it comes to the comic book genre, the saying could go, “Always a sidekick, never a superhero.” But in the case of actor Henry Cavill, even that adage doesn’t quite fit.

Cavill has achieved a large following for his role as Sir Charles Brandon on “The Tudors,” but he’s missed several opportunities to increase that fan base even more. There are reports that the young actor narrowly lost the role of Batman to Christian Bale some years ago. He was later attached to play Superman for director McG, but that project never flew, even if he did get to wear the costume. Read More...

Natalie PortmanFROM SPLASH PAGE:Natalie Portman added a new comic book role to her work schedule today with an announcement from Marvel Studios that she will appear as Jane Foster in “Thor.” Though the part will likely be retooled for director Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation, Portman’s character originally appeared as the central love interest for Donald Blake, the human whose body was originally used by Thor when he appeared on Earth as a mortal.
