Hot on the heels of all those renewals for shows like "New Girl" and "The Mindy Project," comes word that Alexis Bledel, America’s favorite Gilmore girl, has just been cast in the new Fox sitcom "Friends and Family."

Jason Ritter has been cast as her love interest on the single-camera pilot, which will be the American version of the BBC series "Gavin & Stacey." According to The Wrap, the show will focus on Alexis and Jason’s long-distance romance, and how their friends and family (oh, we get it!) keep interrupting their plans. Haven’t they heard the saying, “If the van is a rockin', don’t come a knockin'”?

America Singer may be a lowly Five in the caste system of Illea, but she couldn't be luckier in love, with two handsome suitors fighting for her affections.

The revamped adaptation of Kiera Cass' "The Selection" already landed a royal hunk in the form of Michael Malarkey, who will play Prince Maxon, and now Deadline has the news that Lucien Laviscount will portray the third leg of this love triangle as neighbor Aspen Leger.

Apparently, the British thespian (and recording artist) has made quick work of pilot season, landing the plum role opposite star Yael Grobglas just three weeks after landing in L.A. His dark good looks seem to hem closer to the book's description of Aspen than those of fair-haired actor William Moseley, who played the boy next door in the original pilot.

Jeanine MasonWith Lena, Alex, Julian, and even the smarmy, villainous Thomas Fineman in place, there was just one major character left to be seated on the "Delirium" casting couch—and here she is! Deadline has the scoop that the role of Hana, fellow lobotomee-to-be and best friend of Lena, will be played by Jeanine Mason.

Here's a cause for cautious celebration: "The Selection," the CW pilot based on Kiera Cass' YA dystopian dating-game drama, has a leading lady! Again! For real, this time! Deadline reports that Israeli actress Yael Grobglas has officially snagged the role of America Singer, the working-class heroine who must compete against a gaggle of fellow bachelorettes in a national, televised competition for the love of the dashing Prince Maxon.

Yael is looking to make a name for herself on American television after headlining a series in her native Israel, and snagging the lead in a highly anticipated YA book-to-film adaptation like this one could be a major coup for the as-yet-unknown actress. But more importantly, this is a big step forward for the pilot, which has been plagued by delays despite having its rights snapped up by Hollywood long before the book even hit shelves.

Daren KagasoffShailene Woodley isn't the only "Secret Life of the American Teenager" star to land a role in a highly anticipated YA adaptation following the series' cancellation. Deadline reports that cast mate Daren Kagasoff, who played Ricky Underwood for five seasons, will star in Fox's upcoming "Delirium" pilot, based on the dystopian novel by Lauren Oliver.

"Delirium" is set in a world in which love has been deemed a dirty disease, curable only with a labotomy-like procedure each citizen must undergo when they turn 18. Just weeks before Lena Haloway (played by Emma Roberts) is to go under the knife, she falls in love with the mysterious Alex Sheathes (played by Daren), leading her to question not only the cure but her society's rigid rules.
