Channing Tatum, Scott Speedman Say 'The Vow' Isn't Just A Chick Flick

Ladies, are you still looking for Valentine’s Day weekend plans? May we suggest "The Vow"? It has all the ingredients for the perfect V-Day movie: love, heartbreak, tragedy, oh and Channing Tatum and Scott Speedman.

“The Vow,” which is loosely based on a true story, finds Channing’s character, Leo, struggling to win back his wife, Paige, played by Rachel McAdams, after a tragic accident erases her memory. Now if this doesn’t sound like an ideal date-night flick, I don’t know what does. But there’s even better news! Channing recently told MTV News that this movie is something that your guy can relate to as well.

“It’s told through the guy's perspective,” Channing explained. “You don’t just need some horrible accident to not really know someone in a relationship, you can kind of grow apart and they cannot recognize them, and to see somebody try so hard to get back to that is cool.”

Katherine Heigl's 'One For The Money' Is One For The Guys, Too

Katherine Heigl has become the queen of rom-coms. With a resume that includes, "27 Dresses," "Life As We Know It," and "New Years Eve," you know you are in for a perfect ladies' night out when you see a Katherine Heigl flick.

But what if you are bringing your boyfriend to the movies this weekend? Well, don’t worry ladies, you can bring your boys along to see Katherine’s new movie, "One For the Money." She promised us!

"I wouldn’t qualify it as a romantic comedy. It’s got that and it’s got comedy, but it’s mostly about this sort of murder mystery undertone that keeps it moving and keeps the pace going," Katherine told MTV News at the New York premiere. "I always feel like I’m selling it to men, like there’s explosions and there’s shooting. You’re gonna like it too, I promise."

Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough Assure 'Footloose' Is 'Not Just For Chicks'

We bet you ladies out there are lining up to catch Kenny Wormald cut "Footloose" at the box office this weekend, and we don’t blame you! This Hump Day Hottie definitely has some moves! And you know what’s even better than seeing Kenny in "Footloose"? You can bring your boyfriend along too!

We caught up with Kenny and co-star Julianne Hough at the film's premiere, and they promised us that this movie is much more than a chick flick.

"It’s not a typical chick flick," Kenny gushed. "I’ve been doing screenings all over the country, and guys come up to me and they go, 'Look, my girlfriend dragged me here, but I loved it!’ Obviously, Julianne Hough is in the film and she’s wearing some tight jeans, so guys will dig that and the dancing is great. It’s a great story; it’s not just for chicks."

Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester Convince Boyfriends Everywhere To See 'Monte Carlo'

Listen up ladies! Have you spent all summer being dragged to the movies by your boyfriend just to see action flick after action flick? Well, we think it's time these guys return the favor and do the unthinkable—see a chick flick! But we bet they'll need a little convincing, which is where our new feature, Defend Your Chick Flick, comes in! Feast your eyes on our first installment featuring the ladies of "Monte Carlo."

The rom-com, which stars Selena Gomez as a teen mistaken for a British heiress while vacationing in France, hits theaters today, and follows Selena, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy as they encounter some crazy adventures on their European tour. Don't have your boyfriend running to the box office just yet?

Well, here's Selena and Leighton to defend their chick flick, reassuring us that this movie isn't just for the girls.

"Boys are going to want to see it because of this one," Leighton joked, pointing to Selena. "It’s definitely romantic, there’s a lot of that, if you are a sensitive kind of guy," she added.
