Ian Somerhalder is currently hanging out in the Philippines shooting a campaign for the fashion brand Penshoppe as one of their A-list "All Stars," along with actors Ed Westwick and Zac Efron. Where do we sign up to visit this set?!

But you know what they say about "all work and no play," so Ian is enjoying his time overseas by attending one of Lady Gaga's two sold-out shows in Manila and talking about the environment.

Nina Dobrev might have a taste for blood during the upcoming fourth season of “The Vampire Diaries,” but as the current face of the iconic Got Milk? campaign, it seems she’s just hankering for dairy products.

Nina isn’t getting a milk mustache all by herself. For the ad, she’s joined by her mama, Michaela, and she’s excited to finally get the chance to share the spotlight with her. “It’s cool. I’m in New York City. I’m launching the ‘Like Her, Like Me’ program, which is for Got Milk?” she told MTV News last week about the campaign, which is in conjunction with Seventeen magazine.

“You know, it’s funny because all my life my mom has been so supportive of me, but I’ve always been the one in front of the camera,” she said. “And now we get to both be co-stars and do this together. And when we shot it in Atlanta a few months ago, she flew out and we hung out and did spa treatments and we really turned it into this awesome bonding experience.”

It's true what our parents always taught us— you can't buy happiness. But apparently you can adopt it. Miley Cyrus did so in the form of an absolutely adorable puppy named Happy.

Miley took to Twitter to announce the news and explained that the dog was left in a box outside Wal-Mart. "I don't understand how people can be so cruel," she tweeted. "That's why we named him Happy." How precious! And while she's unsure of the exact breed, she said their best guess is a rottweiler-beagle mix.

Busy Philipps just created every Disney princess fan's dream cake. We can just imagine a little girl's reaction when her parents carry this to the table from the kitchen. Oh, who are we kidding? We can just imagine our reaction if someone put this cake in front of us on our birthday, or any day really. And we bet the picture doesn't even do it justice!

We'd just like an ounce of the actress' talent, please. We can barely keep our popcorn from burning, and here she constructed Rapunzel's entire tower out of sugar, eggs and milk! She captured everything from waves in the water to dirt on the lawn and we are completely in awe. But the best part? She's auctioning it off for charity!

With its celebration of ordinary people and extraordinary achievements, the CNN Heroes Tribute was a different kind of red-carpet event than the usual Hollywood affair—but that didn't stop some of our favorite celebs from showing their support at yesterday evening's ceremony! And photographers snapped some great shots when the stars came out last night to support this celebration of people who have dedicated their lives to making a difference.

Miley Cyrus, who showed her support with a performance of her hit song "The Climb," showed up on the arm of Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne himself!) and was all smiles in a gauzy yellow gown. She later took to Twitter to express her gratitude for the opportunity to participate. "What a glorious night to be apart of. Thank you for having me on your stage @CNN Such an honor."

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the newest voice shedding light on the cause is a familiar one. "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev has partnered with Puma's Project Pink to help raise funds for the breast cancer charity of your choosing. That's right. Through October 7, you can vote for which organization will receive funds raised through Project Pink. It's one component of the charity puzzle that drew Nina in.

"What's cool about [Project Pink] is that it empowers people. It empowers women. It empowers girls to actually do something, and it puts the money in their hands, and they decide where it goes," Nina told us while in New York City to support the campaign. "They choose the organization that gets all the money, and they have a voice. And that's pretty powerful."

Justin Bieberby Danielle Genet

We live in a time when scandal generally outshines generosity, so when celebrities use their fame for good, we think it deserves special mention. Which is why we're excited that Justin Bieber is following in the footsteps of other kindhearted celebrities and auctioning off an autographed pair of bedazzled lace-up sneakers with proceeds going to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

The charity auction's official site reports the winner will receive "one pair of black Supra sneakers, signed and worn by Justin Bieber, along with a certificate of authenticity." The current bid as of press time sits at a whopping $1,000, and the next minimum bid must be an increase of $100. It’s just a small price to pay for memorabilia that will last a lifetime (potential Bieber stink may be included) and benefit an important cause. The auction ends on August 10, so what are you waiting for?

Justin’s philanthropic act of donating personal items is something celebrities have been doing for a while, so we were inspired to look back at other celebrities who tore clothes off their backs and donated them to the greater good. Check it out after the jump!
