Chris Pine's baby blues can look deep into our souls any day of the week. And this week they will once again grace the big screen in the action-packed rom-com, "This Means War." Sure, we could never pick between Tom Hardy and Chris, if we ever actually had to, but we were able to pull the trigger and name one of them this week’s Hump Day Hottie. So, congrats Chris! And, Tom, you can cry on our shoulder any time you want.

Check out this dreamy photo of Chris and keep reading for more details about him!

Vital stats: 31-year-old Chris grew up in sunny Los Angeles. His family was always heavily involved in Hollywood, as actors and industry folks (his dad, Robert Pine, starred on the '70s series "CHiPs"). Chris attended University of California, Berkeley, where he studied English, and spent a year abroad at the University of Leeds in England. He's cultured!

Further proof an actor should think twice about turning down a badass bloodsucker role: Directors watch vampire dramas too.

MTV News recently caught up with "Battleship" helmer Peter Berg and the film's leading man Alexander Skarsgård (whom you may know as Eric from HBO's "True Blood") at Toy Fair, and the director let it be known he's been following Alex's work on a certain sexy series.

"I was a fan of 'True Blood' [and] all the girls in the office stormed my office and demanded that we cast him," Peter said of offering the role to the Swede. Of course, with the topic of "True Blood" on the table, I had to ask Alex for any and all hints about the upcoming season, set to debut this summer.

This one is for those of you who appreciate our weekly Hump Day Hottie feature, as well as those who love an adorable celeb couple. Not so long ago, we anointed "Suits" star Patrick J. Adams as our Hump Day Hottie, which led to two awesome things: First we learned that Patrick's real-life love interest is "Pretty Little Liars" star Troian Bellisario. Second, his "Suits" co-star Gabriel Macht was so overwhelmed by Patrick's honor that he felt the need to tweet a photo about how he was feeling about the whole thing. The chain of events was so fun that when I caught up with the Troian recently, I had to ask for her take.

"It was really funny. When he was the Hump Day Hottie, Gabriel Macht released that Twitpic, "Hump Day Nottie," and that tickled me pink, that was such a great response," she said. "It was definitely a great thing being able to walk around the apartment: 'Hump Day Hottie, could you pass me the coffee?' 'Hump Day Hottie, I left my phone in the other room could you Hump Day Hottie that over to me?' and he was just like, 'I hate you so much, would you stop that?' It was even better in public. That was great."

The friends on "Happy Endings" may not take well to new and former love interests trying to hang out with them, but if we were them we’d be pretty psyched to welcome James Wolk to the clique. Why? Well, he’s adorable in that young Kyle Chandler kind of way, and this week he’s set for a story arc on the ABC comedy. Do we need any other reasons to name him this week’s Hump Day Hottie? Yeah, we didn’t think so.

Check out this dreamy photo of James and keep reading for more details about him!

Vital stats: 26-year-old Jimmy (yeah, we’re already on a pet name basis), grew up in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where he studied his craft at the School of Music, Theatre and Dance. And, when he’s not busy making us swoon, he's doing good-guy stuff like working on the Board of Directors of the Brad Cohen Tourette Foundation and volunteering at the "Camp Twitch and Shout” in Georgia. It’s a camp for kids with Tourette syndrome. Nice and cute? We’re sold!

Vampire Diaries Entertainment Weekly coverAfter getting a load of this week's Entertainment Weekly cover series featuring "Vampire Diaries" stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, we've suddenly realized: love triangles are so passe. And from now on, we'd like to skip the boring geometric metaphors and instead take all our romantic conflicts in sandwich form. Preferably made with two hunky slices of undead dude-bread. Because daaaaaaaaaamn. We want a manwich, please!

Of course, this delicious cover (and its similarly sexy compatriots, featuring Nina posing solo with each guy) isn't just eye candy; it's also a not-so-subtle hint about the difficult decision that the torn-between-two-lovers Elena will have to make as she contemplates her entanglement with Damon. ...No, wait, Stefan! ...No, wait, ugh, no, don't make her choose!

It may not afford a trip to Disney World or a little gold man, but People magazine's annual Sexiest Man Alive proceedings are a contentious contest, nonetheless.

To wit, when "The Hangover" star Bradley Cooper earned the auspicious title over 2011's Golden God Ryan Gosling, fans took up arms, launching online protests and even going so far as to picket outside of People's Time Inc. headquarters. So when our own Josh Horowitz caught up with 2010's Sexiest Man Alive, Ryan Reynolds, at the "Safe House" junket, he had to get the hottie's take on the situation.

Surprisingly (or perhaps not), Ryan was completely unaware of the kerfuffle. "I did not hear about this," he said, after joking that he was now on the Sexiest Man Alive lecture circuit. "Are you kidding?"

Last night's big game included plenty of ogle-worthy manmeat on the field of play (Jason Pierre-Paul in spandex pants, anyone?), but the crushworthy content of the Super Bowl didn't end there: During the commercial breaks, we were treated to two separate trailers for movies starring the delicious Taylor Kitsch. First there was "Battleship," in which Taylor was all hands on deck for an explosion-riddled battle against starfish-handed aliens armed with giant roly-poly death machines! And then, there was "John Carter," in which...well, something about Mars and an intergalactic war? We're not sure; we were just the slightest bit distracted by the fact that Taylor apparently spends the whole film wearing nothing but a few teeny strips of strategically-placed leather on his well-muscled bod.

Point is, this is going to be one deliciously Kitsch-y year in Hollywood, and it'll be a serious thrill to see Taylor make the move from playing a small-screen football star on "Friday Night Lights" to battling aliens in not one, but two fab feature films. There's just one dilemma: Which Kitsch is hotter? The leather-strap-wearing, long-haired renegade of "John Carter," or the crew-cut, clean-shaven, all-American military man of "Battleship"? Ugh, decisions. You tell us by voting in our poll after the jump!

Ryan GoslingHey Girl,
Here's some Crazy, Stupid news that will Drive you nuts. The powers that be at Time Warner Cable are obviously monitoring our TV-viewing habits very closely, because they've catered their February schedule to perfectly reflect our hearts' deepest desires. In celebration of Valentine's Day, the company is launching Ryan Gosling on Demand. We'll just let that sink in...

According to LAWeekly, TWC is offering eight of the actor's fine films for your viewing pleasure: "Remember the Titans," "Murder by Numbers," "The Notebook," "Fracture," "Lars and the Real Girl," "Crazy, Stupid, Love," "The Ides of March" and "Drive." (And before you say it, LAWeekly already pointed out the curious omission of "Blue Valentine," the one movie that actually has the holiday's name in its title...)

This week, MTV’s newest scripted show, "I Just Want My Pants Back," kicks off, following the dating lives of a group of 20-somethings in New York City. It’s kind of like a darker, raunchier "Friends" (with a touch of "Sex and the City" thrown in for good measure). And, who doesn’t love that? So, in honor of the show’s premiere this Thursday we are showing some love to the three guys on the series and naming them our Hump Day Hotties. (Also, they are sharing their worst date memories! So, indulge yourself in their misfortunes, ladies!)

Check out the photo of the guys below, and then keep reading for more details about them!

Peter Vack
Character: Jason
Worst Date: "Every date's a bad date," he told us. "I hate dates. You go on a date with someone, that’s horrible. You have to like get to know them and flirt with them in a casual situation and then be like, 'We like each other. Want to go on a date?' and then it’s not a date. Then it’s two people who like each other going out, but a date, oy. That’s rough. I think dates are rough in general."

This one is for all of our fellow Matthew Lewis (a.k.a. Neville Longbottom) fans—those who have been on board since the beginning after being drawn in by Matthew's roly poly adorableness at age 12 in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," and those who jumped on the bandwagon in a big way after seeing photos of Matthew all grown-up at last year's premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2."

We've lost count of the number of "Matt Lewis Is A Total Hottie"-themed fan pages that have been created since, but we're doing our part as well. MTV News was lucky enough to get our hands and eyes on a batch of brand new photos of the one-time Hump Day Hottie looking very grown-up and smoldery.

The photos were taken by acclaimed London-based photographer Idil Sukan, who was the official photographer for the British Independent Film Awards and has shot a slew of popular British stars, like The Wanted and Rebecca Ferguson. Just look at how serious and stylish the 22-year-old is! So thoughtful and focused, it's like he's staring into our souls. Or thinking really hard about something important like world peace or saving kittens.
