With "The Bling Ring" opening next month and "Noah" not hitting theaters until March 2014, it may be awhile until we see Emma Watson in full-on celebrity covergirl mode again—but if she is planning a hiatus from the public eye, this isn't a bad note to go out on! Emma is front and center next month in the very sophisticated W magazine, where she's styled to the max like a noir femme fatale and talking with typical seriousness about her career.
By now, Emma has a well-earned reputation for being thoughtful, down-to-earth and very careful about how much she reveals of her private life. Which, according to her, has pretty much always been the case.
May the mascara be ever in your favor?
If you want to replicate the crazybananapants looks of the Capitol's classiest citizens, you need look no further than your corner drugstore. Lionsgate and CoverGirl announced today that "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and the venerable makeup brand are entering into the most beautiful of alliances.
Check it: Not only were CoverGirl cosmetics used on set to create eye-popping Panem peepers and pouts, but the brand is launching a line called—fittingly—the Capitol Collection, sometime this fall.
Our Style Superstar could only be found at Cannes this week—and not just because all the most well-dressed celebs are gathered there right now, either. In addition to being a magnet for fashionable famous people, the film festival in the south of France also marks one of the first times in a while that we've seen Emma Watson really pull out all the stops to dress for a glamorous red carpet. And aren't we so glad that she did?
In a word: yes! Oh, Emma. We've missed you, girl. And this dress encapsulates all the reasons why: It's simple, elegant, modern, with just the right amount of glitz to keep it interesting. That sequined bustier bodice above that cream silk skirt? Perfection. And with minimal jewelry and a simple chignon, it—and the woman wearing it—really shines.
FROM MTV NEWS: It seems Demi Lovato has been busy since she stopped by MTV this week to talk about her new self-titled album. The songstress took to Twitter yesterday to reveal her latest tattoo: the inscription,"now I'm a warrior" scrawled onto the back of her shoulder.
"I have a song on my album called 'Warrior,' and it's a very, very meaningful song to me," she explained during an appearance on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." "It's really heavy, the lyrics, but it's an inspirational song as well. ... It was kind of like a tribute to releasing an album, as well as overcoming some really, really difficult things in my life."

If you love guilt-watch television and beautiful people, this morning's CW Upfront was the place to be: an earlybird sneak peek at all the shows that the channel has lined up in its shapely can. Today's event included details about the upcoming season of "The Vampire Diaries," along with exciting newcomers like spin-off "The Originals" and "The Tomorrow People"—and, of course, a chance to ogle all the gorgeous stars as they turned up to promote their work.
Nina Dobrev has been taking the fashion cake at the Upfront for ages, and this year was no exception: The star was a bombshell in a bright blue dress with a lace-and-grommet empire waist. Also winning points for superstar style was AnnaSophia Robb, leading lady of "The Carrie Diaries," in a peekaboo dress with competing pinstripes that her character would lurve. And Aimee Teegarden, who's going to be big this year in the new series "Star Crossed," was working it in a shortie jumpsuit with a pointy collar and impressionist print.
FROM MTV NEWS: With Memorial Day less than two weeks away, we'll be breaking out the warm-weather wear in a matter of days. (At least we hope. C'mon, Mother Nature!) With that in mind, we checked in with fierce fashionistas Kylie and Kendall Jenner (who have their own line with Pac Sun) to see what essentials they'd recommend. They talked about that and the impending arrival of Baby Kimye with MTV News. Be sure to check it out!

It's Chloe Moretz's year, and we're just living in it! The 16-year-old not only has two highly anticipated movies ("Kick-Ass 2" and "Carrie") coming out in the latter half of 2013, but she also covers this month's Nylon magazine—the annual issue dedicated to all things Young Hollywood.
The starlet, along with her equally talented (not to mention easy-on-the-eyes) peers, took to Tinseltown's Roosevelt Hotel last night to celebrate the latest edition.
The cover girl looked sweet (yet spicy!) in a form-fitting bubblegum-colored Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony dress paired with wine-colored heels.
We've already posted once about the superlative looks from Monday night's big gala at the Met—where all the pretty little starlets busted out their weirdest wigs, fiercest makeup and most mesh-and-leather-heavy looks to celebrate the opening of "PUNK: From Chaos to Couture" at the Costume Institute. But we saved the best (and, um, worst) for last, plucking two noteworthy looks from the crowd and keeping them aside for our weekly fashion feature. Who's our Style Superstar today?
It's Dakota Fanning, whose black, bold Rodarte dress was our favorite look from the evening. Dakota went a little less wild than a lot of her fellow attendees—from the front, in fact, you might think that this was just a simple black gown with trendy cutout details. But that peek of black-and-white coming around at her waist is your tip that there's more going on here; the other side of this dress is made entirely of mesh from the bum up, with cool graphic applique wings at the shoulders and wrapping around her lower back. It's a perfect pick for the evening—high fashion at the front, a punk party at the rear!—and while not everyone loved Dakota in this dress, we think it makes her this week's Style Superstar. (Another critic complained that it "looks like a skeleton is grabbing the actress at her waist"—uh, YEAH IT DOES, and it's AWESOME.)
Last night's big ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Art had a way of bringing out even the most staid starlet's inner fashion freak—which is why it's one of our favorite events ever, of course. Wild hair, goth gowns and fierce faces were all the rage at this year's gala, with no shortage of standout looks to choose from...but we did our best to narrow it down, with six superlative awards for the most inventive, surprising, and stunning styles of the evening. Who's on our list? Read on!
Best Impression of a Punk Rock Porcupine
Miley Cyrus went punk pretty in a slinky Marc Jacobs gown with glittery accents and a fishnet overlay, along with fierce finger hardware, a sky-high spiked 'do and bright red lips.
Kristen Stewart was a burgundy bombshell in this stunning Stella McCartney jumpsuit with lace inset accents.
Most Fabulous Femme Fatale
Jennifer Lawrence looked ready to star in a noir thriller with her tea-length beaded black Dior dress, velvet platform heels and a black net veil for extra drama.
"Beautiful Creatures" actress Emmy Rossum is ready to be one of the beautiful creatures at tonight's Met Ball—essentially the Academy Awards of fashion. The starlet took to Twitter today to broadcast her enthusiasm for the big night, whose theme is "Punk."
Emmy is one of several actresses, including Jennifer Morrison, Hailee Steinfeld and Naomie Harris, who will be wearing one-of-a-kind Donna Kara Atelier gowns to the festivities. We can't wait to see how beautiful they look!
