Turns out MTV Video Music Awards pre-show host Selena Gomez didn't need any of our advice after all. The 19-year-old starlet handled her black carpet hosting duties like a pro—all while flaunting one of our favorite looks of the night.
Selena looked simply stunning in a gothic-esque black lace Julien McDonald half-gown accessorized with gold heels and clutch. She wore her hair in a simple up-swept 'do that let all the attention linger on the frock's intricate neckline (which we totally loved!).

Yes, you read that headline correctly. We are proud to declare Khloe Kardashian this week’s Style Superstar. Though she and her sisters often provide fodder for our weekly style "losers," we were so blown away by how sexy yet sophisticated she looked at the launch of the Kardashian Kollection at Sears that we just had to crown her this week’s style winner.
Considering that Kendall wore this questionable tattoo dress and Kim, cut an unflattering form in this leopard jumpsuit, Khloe’s outfit is just that much more impressive. Leopard is a key trend for fall, and Khloe proves that you can wear leopard without falling into trashy territory. This popped-shoulder blazer, a little bling bling, perfect black pumps and wavy hair complete Khloe’s superstar ensemble. Kim, Kourtney, Kendall, Kylie and Kris—this is officially the Kardashian to go for fashion advice (at least for now...)!

The "Twilight" lovin' Crush staff is still working on procuring our very own undead, sparkly loverdude to spend a blissful eternity with, but at least we know what we'll be wearing to the eventual wedding! Because Women's Wear Daily reports that bridal designer Alfred Angelo has secured the rights to recreate and sell a real, actual version of Bella's "Breaking Dawn" wedding dress to aspiring vampire brides everywhere, under the label "Twilight Bridal." But really, the famously famous nuptial outfit is hardly the only thing from the "Twilight" films that we covet with the red-hot burning fury of a thousand blazing suns. So while good old Alfred is painstakingly putting seed beads on our eventual wedding gown, could someone else hook us up with these four fine items from the saga? THANKS.

Anne Hathaway is no stranger to movie makeunders thanks to ugly duckling roles in flicks like "The Princess Diaries" and "The Devil Wears Prada." And the 28-year-old starlet will once again toss her lipstick and concealer to the side to portray would-be writer Emma in this week's romantic drama "One Day."
The film follows Emma—and her complicated relationship with Jim Sturgess' Dex—over the span of 20 years, a concept Anne found more than a little intriguing.
"Initially I thought, 'What an amazing opportunity. How much fun is it going to be to age 20 years?' Then the closer I got to doing the film, I realized that everything had to be noticeable but it also had to be incredibly subtle," she said.

It's been a very fashionable week in Tinseltown. Between the Teen Choice Awards, InStyle Summer Soiree and movie premieres for flicks such as "The Help," "One Day" and "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie," we've been salivating over the wonderful assortment of high fashion on display. While stylish stars like Nina Dobrev, Selena Gomez and Emma Stone all looked lovely this week, you'll have to keep reading to find out which "Pretty Little Liar" wins the Style Superstar crown, and which "Glee" gal needs to retake Fashion 101.
Lucy Hale may have won the award for Choice Summer TV Star, but when it comes to style, Shay Mitchell definitely takes the cake. Er, surfboard? We’re used to seeing celebs in pretty flowing gowns, sexy mini dresses and funky asymmetrical frocks—in fact, they’re frequently bestowed with our Style Superstar honor. Shay’s DKNY blouse and skirt ensemble catches our eye because it’s mature yet youthful, something many young Hollywood stars grapple with. That bright red hue really pops, especially against the blue carpet, and all those shining paillettes on the mini skirt? Fabulous. Trendy white nails, a sleek clutch and uber-high platform heels complete this winning look.

Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde have had very fulfilling summers, and they’re about to get busier! The two burgeoning stars have just been announced as the latest global brand ambassadors for Revlon, Women's Wear Daily reports.
We’re not too surprised that the cosmetics giant chose these two ladies to represent their brand. Emma, with her youthful and spunky charm, exemplifies fresh-faced, dewy-eyed beauty while Olivia exudes old Hollywood mystique and glamor with her striking blue eyes.
Also, between the two of them, the beauties have appeared in fives movies this summer ("Cowboys & Aliens" and this week’s "The Help," to name two) and graced over 15 magazine covers this year. Frankly, anyone who can still look dewy-eyed and fresh-faced after such crazy work schedules, is more than worthy of being a beauty ambassador!

It's a week for monkeying around here at Style Superstar: We're currently riding the media blitz for "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," a movie about ambitious chimps who overthrow the world, and "The Change-Up," a movie about two dissatisfied chimps who suffer a pair of magical mid-life crises... Oh, wait. Those aren't chimps at all; it's Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman. Whoops! (But c'mon, it's an easy mistake to make.) And this time around, it's ape-wrangling fashionista Freida Pinto whose look we covet: The actress gets big props this week as our Style Superstar.
Freida can seemingly do no wrong when it comes to dressing herself; the gods of good clothing choices have been smiling upon her ever since she came on the scene with "Slumdog Millionaire" (remember that incredible one-sleeved azure number she wore to the Oscars?) and her latest appearances to promote "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" have been a collection of Fashion Wins. But nothing tops the breezy, bright Roland Mouret dress that she wore this week for an appearance on "The Daily Show." Many girls couldn't pull of this acid shade of chartreuse without looking sallow and overpowered, but next to Freida's gorgeous skin, it's the perfect pop of summer color. Add the unexpected neckline and strappy snake-print heels, and this breezy ensemble is an accolade-worthy look for a hot summer night—or an ape takeover of the planet. Because when the human race is about to be enslaved, you need to look your best.

This weekend, Miley Cyrus made waves when she debuted a brand new tattoo; the star got an equal sign inked on her ring finger, and sparked some hearty debate among less-progressive-minded fans when she posted a pic of her new body art to Twitter alongside the LGBT-supportive message, "All LOVE is equal."

We like to shake things up here in Style Superstar land. Sometimes, we honor celebs with consistently killer style, like Emma Watson and Nina Dobrev. Other times, we recognize stars who burst onto our radar after sporting a fabulous outfit, like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Rosa Byrne. This week, we’re rewarding one of young Hollywood’s finest celebs for pulling a phenomenal fashion 180: teen queen Miley Cyrus.
Miley’s made headlines for some very revealing outfits on her recent world tour, but she emerged at a benefit for the Starkey Hearing Foundation in Minnesota this week wearing a stunning, sophisticated and, yes, very sexy black dress. The asymmetrical, one-sleeved gown fits her rockin’ bod like a glove. It’s mature, but with hot orange nails, subtle bikini top tan lines and undone hair, Miley doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard to grow up. A lesson we can all learn from Ms. Cyrus? You don’t need to have your cleavage, midriff and legs on display in order to be sexy! We hope this sleek, understated sex appeal continues in her future red carpet appearances.

Have you noticed that Emma Stone is everywhere? She popped up (as a blond!) in the new "The Amazing Spider-Man" trailer. She hit the "Friends With Benefits" red carpet in eye-catching hot pink and red alongside Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake on Monday night. Oh, and did we mention that she also stars in next week’s "Crazy, Stupid, Love" with Hollywood Crush favorite Ryan Gosling? As if we didn’t have enough reasons to hate love her, Emma graced that red carpet in one of her best looks ever.
