From Broadway sensation to television newcomer, Megan Hilty is sure to be a "Smash." The 30-year-old actress stars in the new NBC series as Ivy, a singer vying for the lead role in a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. And this girl can do it all. She can dance, act, and she certainly can sing. With plenty of buzz building for this rising star, we're naming Megan this week’s Girl Crush!

When Megan stopped by the MTV Newsroom recently, we couldn't wait to tell her about the prestigious title. "I think that’s quite an honor, hopefully I can live up to that," she said with a smile. "But the one thing that I’m proud of is having a real person’s body and being on television, so hopefully that can be helpful to some people. You don’t have to be teeny, teeny tiny to be a success, so hopefully that can be something that I can help people with."

We've honored our fair share of badass dames in our weekly Girl Crush feature—"Cowboys and Aliens" star Olivia Wilde and "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" star Rooney Mara among them—but MMA fighter and former American Gladiator (stage name: Crush!) Gina Carano has to be the butt-kickingest of all. The 29-year-old makes her feature film debut this week alongside Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender and Channing Tatum in the action flick "Haywire," playing a black ops soldier seeking vengeance after her employers betray her. Who better, then, to name this week's Girl Crush than the female Jason Bourne?

In exchange for the title, Gina happily revealed her own Girl Crush: "I think that if I was goiing to have a Girl Crush it would probably be with Patricia Arquette," she said. "In 'True Romance' I absolutely love that hotel fight scene. That was so well-done and one of my favorite movies. Patricia Arquette is so feminine and so herself but still strong, and I like that."

We've bestowed our Girl Crush honor upon a number of butt-kicking actresses, including Lily Collins, Teresa Palmer and Nina Dobrev, but none have undergone a transformation quite as complete as Rooney Mara did in order to portray hacker-punk Lisbeth Salander in the big-screen adaptation of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." (Chica pierced her NIPPLE for Ikea's sake!) So, in honor of her intense dedication to the role and the film's opening tomorrow, we've named the star this week's Girl Crush.

In exchange for the title, we asked Rooney to divulge her own Girl Crush. "Lykke Li," she said, citing the 25-year-old musician whose "Possibility" appeared on the "New Moon" soundtrack. "I just saw her live for the first time a few weeks ago, and I've had a Girl Crush on her ever since."

We've been following 15-year-old Abigail Breslin's career ever since she shimmied onto the silver screen (and into our hearts) at the tender age of 10 in the wonderfully weird "Little Miss Sunshine." And with the release of this week's rom-com romp "New Year's Eve," the actress is showing just how grown up she's become, flashing her bra ("This isn't 'Girls Gone Wild'!") and puckering up for her first movie kiss. So in honor of her on-screen evolution, we're naming Miss Breslin this week's Girl Crush!

In exchange for the honor, we asked the star to tell us which Hollywood ladies she admires. "I really like Reese Witherspoon. Anne Hathaway, I really like," she said. "I love all their work."

What will become of Emma when Sutton returns to Phoenix? Will Annie ever reunite with her long-lost twin daughters? When will Alec be exposed as the no-good evil-doer he really is? Full disclosure: WE HAVE NO IDEA. Which is why we'll be tuning into tonight's "Lying Game" mid-season finale. What we can say for sure is that star Alexandra Chando is this week's Girl Crush!

When we stopped by the Austin, Texas-based set recently to get scoops straight from the source, we asked Alex for the truth and nothing but the truth. Namely, who is her Girl Crush?

"I have a Girl Crush on Rachel Bilson," she revealed. "She's so cute, I just want to put her in my pocket. I love her style, and I'm fascinated by everything she wears, and I think she's a really sweet and kind person. She's cute. I like her."

Let's here it for the girl! That girl being "Footloose" star Julianne Hough, of course. This week, the former "Dancing With the Stars" pro hits the big screen alongside cutie Kenny Wormald as high-stepping preacher's daughter, Ariel. With plenty of buzz building for the dance redo, we're naming Julianne Hough this week's Girl Crush!

As is our custom, in return for being named our Girl Crush, we asked Julianne to spill which leading lady she looks up to in the biz. And we bet plenty of people would agree with the 23-year-old's pick.

As fall premiere season chugs along, there are a number of female-driven comedies that are really getting us excited to be, well, females. "2 Broke Girls" over on CBS is one of those shows. And this week, Zooey Deschanel's new Fox comedy, "New Girl," drops as well, and it has us thanking god(dess) that we'll be charmed by Zooey week after week. As a result, we're naming her this week's Girl Crush!

"I think it's amazing," she told MTV News about the wave of funny lady successes. "I think we're in a time right now where there was a tipping point [and] so many of the pilots that were picked up are female leads, female written. Girls are kicking butt in comedy. I feel like this is a new frontier. I feel like it's a really exciting time right now for women and comedy."

New Directions will venture in, well, a new direction this weekend as their big-screen effort "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie" hits theaters. So if you've ever wondered what Cory Monteith looks like 20 ft. tall and in three dimensions, you should probably run to the cineplex, like, right now.

In celebration of our favorite Fox musical series singing and dancing its way into theaters, we're naming one of its stars—Jenna Ushkowtiz, to be exact—this week's Girl Crush!

What did she think of the honor? "It's great," Jenna said. "I mean, it's definitely a responsibility to be looked up to, but it's the coolest thing ever."

If any chica were ever the embodiment of our Girl Crush title, it's certainly Olivia Wilde. Not only is the 27-year-old smoking hot, but she's a humanitarian who also knows how to kick butt, holding her own alongside action-hero veterans Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford in this week's "Cowboys & Aliens." For all of these reasons, we're naming the starlet this week's Girl Crush.

An honor—we should add—Ms. Wilde was flattered to receive. "Oh my god. Thank you," she said in response to the news. "Wow, do I get a plaque or anything?"

Erm, no, but how about a handshake!?

Rachel Green she is not. In this week's workplace comedy "Horrible Bosses," Jennifer Aniston goes dark (both in hair color and subject matter) as one of the titular poor managers, getting all maneatery on underling Charlie Day. Will she and fellow "Horrible Bosses" Kevin Spacey and Colin Ferrell get taken down by Charlie, Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis? You'll just have to go to the theaters Friday to find out.

In the meantime, we've awarded the much-nicer-in-real-life Jennifer with this week's Girl Crush honor and, of course, made her spill who her own personal Girl Crush is. Which took some thinking...

"Who do I have a girl crush on?" she pondered with head in hands. "This is such pressure... I'm going to think of this right now..."
