We've held down our fair share of odd jobs, but none was quite so odd as that of Ari Graynor's character, Katie, in the upcoming comedy "For a Good Time, Call..." Let's just say if we utilized vocabulary like hers, that titular call would be to HR. You see, the Manhattanite earns her living talking dirty as a phone sex operator. We're blushing just thinking about it, but Ari owns the fun, fearless role, which is why we're naming her this week's Girl Crush.
As is our custom, we asked the actress for her own Girl Crush pick, and her selection is quickly becoming the most popular answer to this question.
"I have a Girl Crush on Kristen Wiig," Ari said of her fellow actress in funny. "She's just one of the funniest, but also most deeply talented people that I've ever known. She's also just really an amazing, cool, fun-loving person."
Normally we name just one fierce female our Girl Crush of the week, but in honor of ALL the fabulousness being brought in the upcoming feature film "Sparkle," we are naming all three lovely lead ladies—Jordin Sparks, Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo—our Girl Crush. Or, Girl Crushes, rather.
Per usual, in exchange for the honor, we asked the starlets which women they look up to.
"I know exactly—Adriana Lima—the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life," Jordin said. "She's just stunning, to me, no matter what type of makeup she has on her face, no matter whether she's wearing a Victoria's Secret outfit, angel wings or just regular clothing. I think she is completely stunning.
If we didn't like Taylor Schilling so much we'd hate her. After all, the young starlet gets to lock lips (and more!) with dreamy, dreamy Zac Efron in this week's romantic drama "The Lucky One." In the film, Zac plays Marine Logan Thibault, who finds a photo of a young woman amidst the rubble of war-torn Iraq—a photo that ends up saving his life. Once he returns stateside, he goes on a journey to find that girl. Swoon-worthy, right?
It's no surprise we've been nursing a crush on Zac since his days at East High, but we're officially going on record with our feelings about his co-star Taylor and naming her this week's Girl Crush!
In exchange for the honor, we asked Taylor to dish up her own Girl Crush. "I have a Girl Crush on Kristen Wiig big time," Taylor admitted. "Kristen Wiig is my numero uno Girl Crush."
Actress Shailene Woodley rode a wave of recognition this awards season for her turn as angsty teen Alexandra King in the Oscar-winning film "The Descendants," but TV audiences know the 20-year-old best as teen mom Amy from four seasons of ABC Family's "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." The series returned last night with its spring premiere, and to celebrate, we're naming Shailene this week's Girl Crush.
While we had Shailene on our couch recently, we had to ask the starlet who her own Girl Crush is. "Jennifer Garner," she said without hesitation. "I think she's awesome. She's so philanthropic, and I think that the way she's raising her children is really great, especially with the amount of spotlight on them. She just seems like a really down-to-earth, awesome human being, who's doing really awesome philanthropic things for the world around her."
"Hunger Games" star Isabelle Fuhrman stopped by the MTV Newsroom this week, and now we're nursing one major Girl Crush on the adorable actress. Not only does she kick butt as District 2's knife-throwing Tribute (we'll forgive you for trying to take Katniss out!), but she's a voracious reader and shares our love of more than a few hot YA titles. So we're making it official: Isabelle is this week's Girl Crush!
As we do, in exchange for the honor, we asked Isabelle to dish which ladies in Hollywood she admires most—and it's an eclectic list to say the least. "Meryl Streep is awesome," she enthused. "I really want to work with Emma Stone; she is adorable. Now I want to work with Octavia Spencer, because I met her and she's really funny."
Jillian Rose Reed fast-talked her way into our hearts as Jenna's feisty best friend, Tamara, on MTV's "Awkward," but tomorrow night she's swapping one BFF for another, as she tackles the role of Sienna in "My Super Psycho Sweet 16 Part 3." Sienna is Skye's new roommate, and she has no clue about the survivor's dark past. So in honor of Jillian's MTV twofer, we're awarding her this week's Girl Crush title.
An achievement which, it turns out, fulfilled one of Jillian's life goals. "You don't understand. Like, ever since I was little, I've dreamed about being MTV's crush, and now I've made it," she enthused. "I'm done now. I don't have to do anything more for the rest of my career. I've hit my peak."
Elizabeth Olsen broke out in a big way last year thanks to her turn as a former cult member in the indie "Martha Marcy May Marlene." And she'll continue down the dark and creepy path in this week's goose-bump-inducing horror flick "Silent House," playing a girl trapped inside her family's lake house while bad things happen inside. As Elizabeth cuts her scream queen teeth, we're awarding her another title: this week's Girl Crush honor.
As to her own Girl Crushes, Elizabeth admitted (rather refreshingly) that none of the lovely ladies are actually famous. "I have a crush on so many girls. I don't know if any of them are actors," she said with a laugh. "I think they're just friends of mine."

From Broadway sensation to television newcomer, Megan Hilty is sure to be a "Smash." The 30-year-old actress stars in the new NBC series as Ivy, a singer vying for the lead role in a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. And this girl can do it all. She can dance, act, and she certainly can sing. With plenty of buzz building for this rising star, we're naming Megan this week’s Girl Crush!
When Megan stopped by the MTV Newsroom recently, we couldn't wait to tell her about the prestigious title. "I think that’s quite an honor, hopefully I can live up to that," she said with a smile. "But the one thing that I’m proud of is having a real person’s body and being on television, so hopefully that can be helpful to some people. You don’t have to be teeny, teeny tiny to be a success, so hopefully that can be something that I can help people with."
We've honored our fair share of badass dames in our weekly Girl Crush feature—"Cowboys and Aliens" star Olivia Wilde and "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" star Rooney Mara among them—but MMA fighter and former American Gladiator (stage name: Crush!) Gina Carano has to be the butt-kickingest of all. The 29-year-old makes her feature film debut this week alongside Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender and Channing Tatum in the action flick "Haywire," playing a black ops soldier seeking vengeance after her employers betray her. Who better, then, to name this week's Girl Crush than the female Jason Bourne?
In exchange for the title, Gina happily revealed her own Girl Crush: "I think that if I was goiing to have a Girl Crush it would probably be with Patricia Arquette," she said. "In 'True Romance' I absolutely love that hotel fight scene. That was so well-done and one of my favorite movies. Patricia Arquette is so feminine and so herself but still strong, and I like that."
We've bestowed our Girl Crush honor upon a number of butt-kicking actresses, including Lily Collins, Teresa Palmer and Nina Dobrev, but none have undergone a transformation quite as complete as Rooney Mara did in order to portray hacker-punk Lisbeth Salander in the big-screen adaptation of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." (Chica pierced her NIPPLE for Ikea's sake!) So, in honor of her intense dedication to the role and the film's opening tomorrow, we've named the star this week's Girl Crush.
In exchange for the title, we asked Rooney to divulge her own Girl Crush. "Lykke Li," she said, citing the 25-year-old musician whose "Possibility" appeared on the "New Moon" soundtrack. "I just saw her live for the first time a few weeks ago, and I've had a Girl Crush on her ever since."
