We've hardly heard a peep from "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" star Shailene Woodley since she was cast as heroine Beatrice "Tris" Prior in the big-screen adaptation of dystopian thriller "Divergent." Well, not anymore, seeing as we caught up with the star today at the Sundance Film Festival, where she was promoting her movie "The Spectacular Now."

So, first things first: What inspired Shailene to sign on for the role of the Dauntless factioner? We guarantee her answer is nothing you'd expect.

"I read the book, and I thought it was really—my whole thing, to be honest, is I never wanted to do big films," she explained. "I've been acting for 16 years, and it was never something that I wanted to do, to be in a big blockbuster film, especially one that was similar to 'Hunger Games' or 'Twilight.' You know, one that had a huge pre-existing fan base and one that would carry on for multiple years."

A few months ago, Selena Gomez gave a red-carpet interview in which she gleefully warned us that her next project, the coming-this-March movie "Spring Breakers," was gonna shock the bejeezus out of everyone who knew her strictly as a Disney-Channel teen sensation. And after today's EXCLUSIVE debut of the film's first trailer on MTV News...uh, yeah, our bejeezus has left the building. This is a side of Selena we've never seen before: dangerously sexy, seriously unbalanced, and bored to the point of violence. Check out the trailer and let your eyes pop, yo.

There's so much going on here, from the bikini quartet (including Selena plus co-stars Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine), to the smash-cut violence, to a palette that's all candy-colored bathing suits and trashy neon lights, to James Franco's grill. Let's just say that again: JAMES FRANCO'S GRILL. (Also, his panhandle accent is either the most brilliant or most revolting thing we've ever heard. Maybe both.) Add in a heavy dubstep soundtrack and a "Field-of-Dreams"-esque whisper—"Spring break!"—and you've got the promise of a movie that's gritty, seductive, and out-of-control; it's no wonder that the leading ladies all described their on-set experience as raw and boundary-pushing. By the end of the trailer, "Spring break forever!" sounds less like a battle cry than a life sentence.

Only three little weeks left until "Warm Bodies" finally hits theaters! Have you purchased your tickets yet? Maybe you need some incentive via another one of our extra-special EXCLUSIVES leading up to opening day on February 1. Today's treat is a one-two punch that includes a never-before-seen photo of R (Nicholas Hoult), as well as the unveiling of the music featured in the film.

In this new still, we see a solemn-looking R hunched over a record player in his humble abode, which is an abandoned airplane. What I like most about this photo is that it's so colorful. Sure we've seen some color in previous images, but there's something different about this one in that it doesn't seem as bleak—it's more sweet and sentimental. It's also a perfect complement to the second part of our "Warm Bodies" goodness: news about the music featured in the film.

We're just one day away from our exclusive online and on-air premiere of the trailer for "Spring Breakers," and what better way to continue the countdown than with a shiny new photo of the lovely "Breakers" in question?

Behold, an EXCLUSIVE still of the film's four beautiful bikini-clad stars Ashley Benson, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Rachel Korine. Now, even though the girls seem to be happy and mugging for the camera here, this photo was taken from a scene in which our leading ladies find themselves tossed in a jail cell after a particularly long day and night of partying. And if you're thinking you've seen these bikinis before, you have. The starlets spend a decent portion of the movie in those swimsuits. (Must have made it easy for the wardrobe department, huh?)

But first, look at this! Among the new pics from the long-awaited sequel to last year's dystopian blockbuster: one ever-so-slightly-steamy-looking shot of Finnick and Katniss, in which the trident-wielding golden boy appears to be whispering sweet nothings into our heroine's ear. (Also: Those who doubted Sam Claflin's ability to play the Games' flirtiest tribute with an appropriate level of panache, take a look at that smirk and prepare to eat crow.)

Joseph MorganMuch as we all love the bloodlusty intrigue of "The Vampire Diaries," it's kind of a bummer how it's only one show. Y'know? Like, wouldn't it be amazing if we could all watch the ongoing drama between Elena, Stefan and Damon and at the same time be getting a juicy in-depth look at the story of the Originals? WELL. Today, the universe has a delightful gift for us: the news, via Deadline, that The CW is possibly considering a spin-off series called (you guessed it!) "Originals," which focuses exclusively on the origin stories of the series' vampire family.

If you've been camping out front of your local movie theater, waiting for action-adventure alien romance "The Host" to finally make its appearance in theaters, you might want to take a brief detour to your local bookstore for the latest advance look at the film! (Go on, we'll hold your place in line.) That's where you'll find the amahhhhzing "The Host: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion," a big juicy paperback guide to the cinematic adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's sci-fi novel.

It's your chance to get an advance, in-depth look at how the sausage gets made...only better, because the making of sausage is an absolutely disgusting process involving ground meats and sheep intestines, whereas the making of this movie is all about cool locations and fancy sets and behind-the-scenes shots of Jake Abel looking all squinty and sexy in the desert sun.

Catching Fire EWWe've been waiting forever for the buzz to start buzzing in advance of "The Hunger Games" sequel "Catching Fire"—and alas, we've got to wait a whole lot longer before the movie hits theaters—but in the interim, at least we've got this: the first look in Entertainment Weekly, which features a giant spread of behind-the-scenes intel and interviews with the movie's stars, and a seriously crushworthy cover featuring Jennifer Lawrence and Sam Claflin in their Capitol-issue full-body bathing suits. (Although fans will no doubt be disappointed to see that the shot of Sam in his clingy spandex swimwear cuts off just shy of the interesting parts. Oh, EW, how you tease.)

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence is busy doing what she does best: acting ridiculous in her signature omg-can-we-please-be-BFFs style. Among her soundbites from the interview:

"I'm pregnant!"
