If after seeing this weekend's alien-invasion romance, "The Host," you find yourself nursing a serious crush on actor Jake Abel (who plays muscleman-with-a-heart Ian), well, you're out of luck. The 25-year-old is engaged!
People confirms that Jake proposed to his sweetheart, writer Allie Woods, on New Year's Eve in Times Square. (Is Mr. Abel a closet Garry Marshall fan, or what?)
But, seriously, congratulations are in order for Jake and Allie. Not only for their engagement, but for keeping the news secret for so long!
FROM MTV NEWS: Waka Flocka Flame isn't a name that appears on Hollywood Crush often. (Or, really, ever.) But when it comes to romance rumors regarding one of our favorite females (i.e. Miss Selena Gomez), you know we're going to get to the bottom of it.
Waka stopped by "RapFix Live" yesterday, and talk turned to a series of tweets that could allude to something romantical between him and the 20-year-old. But as Waka told host Sway, that's simply not the case.
Check out the full story at MTV News, plus Waka's thoughts on "Girl Meets World" star Danielle Fishel!
Olivia Wilde couldn't help but be charmed by her fiancé, "Saturday Night Live" funnyman Jason Sudeikis. We must say, we don't blame her.
She immediately had a crush on him, telling Marie Claire in their April issue that she didn’t think she had a shot with him.
"I thought, 'He won’t be interested in me; I’m not a contender.' He was so cool, so funny—I was such a fan of his and had always fancied his speed and his intelligence," she said. "He's a brilliant actor with a brain like lightening... I felt like fresh meat at the market... I thought, ‘I’m not beautiful enough or his type.’ I couldn’t wait to sit down and hear him talk. On our first date, in New York City, we closed the restaurant down at 2 a.m.! He didn’t kiss me, and I was madly in love. I was overwhelmed."
On this, the highest and holiest of holidays devoted to all that is romantical (including our all-consuming passion for dark chocolate), we couldn't help but wonder what celebrating February 14th would be like with a super-cool boyfriend who hunts demons, buys us chocolate-filled croissants and is next in line to rule a war-torn dystopian nation.
Thankfully, our favorite YA novels are here to not only offer up a few clues, but also a number of suitable suitors to swoon over. So, before we kiss another Valentine's Day good-bye, we've gathered our friends from around the blogosphere to contemplate which literary dreamboat would make the best boyfriend. Check out all the hot, hunky picks after the jump!
If you're spending today without a Valentine, we know how easy it can be to just give in to the loneliness. To embrace the single lady stereotype. To binge on ice cream and Fritos, while watching indie romances on Netflix and sobbing into the T-shirt your ex-boyfriend left at your house in 2008, and finally end up in the emergency room after a desperate, unsuccessful attempt to make out with your pet parakeet.
Oh, yes. WE KNOW. But before you call it quits on all things red-hot and romantic, perhaps you'd like to consider spending your Valentine's Day with one of three very eligible bachelors? Because they're all waiting for you! Right this minute! In a dark room, where the two of you lovebirds can be alone...that is, unless someone else happens to buy a movie ticket for the same showing as you. Whatever. It's gonna be magic. So peruse the dating profiles of these lovely leading men from today's new theatrical releases, put on a pair of real pants and prepare to take your pick!

While nobody does romance better than Nicholas Sparks, nobody does romance worse than the stars of the new Nicholas Sparks movie "Safe Haven."
In the latest episode of MTV's After Hours, our very own Josh Horowitz sits down with the charming and talented Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel to get some tips on how to how to keep your relationship with that special someone going strong. It’s quickly revealed that while these two have great instincts on screen, they don’t exactly have the best advice off-screen as Julianne describes feeding raw meat to Ryan Seacrest and Josh Duhamel may or may not wear something along the lines of the Rubber Man costume from "American Horror Story."
Maybe you should just watch for yourself...but you’ve been warned.
Oh, P.S. Happy Valentine’s Day!
"The O.C." and "Gossip Girl" never crossed airwaves, but it looks like Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf will remedy that oversight on their own.
According to Us Weekly, actors Adam Brody, 33, and Leighton Meester, 26, have been secretly dating for weeks! The two starred together in last year's dramedy "The Oranges," in which Leighton played the much younger love interest to Adam's on-screen dad Hugh Laurie.
Now, we've seen our fair share of teen show stars date within their cast. You'll recall Blake Lively and Penn Badgley's three-year romance, and "Vampire Diaries" co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder can't seem to get enough of each other. But we have a tough time recalling another cross-over romance quite like this one. I guess Chrismukkah came early for us couples watchers!

It's fair to say that having high standards when it comes to choosing boyfriends is a good thing. Handsome, sweet and strong? Must-haves. A pulse? Meh. Not necessary. Well...some of us must just have higher standards than others.
Just because his skin is ice-cold or he may suffer from slight decomposition (there are concealers and colognes to cover that up), it doesn't mean he doesn't have the chops to make a great sig-O. Just take R, for instance, the subject of the new zombie romance flick, "Warm Bodies," which hits theaters this week. Nicholas Hoult plays a shambling, brain-hungry, indie-music-loving zombie who fights his way back to humanity to save the girl he has fallen in love with (Teresa Palmer) from hoards of apocalyptic zombies. Swoon!
If you're intrigued by the pale and the pulse-less, R isn't the only quality undead fish in the sea. Hollywood has offered up quite a few suitable corpses...err bachelors...over the years. Check them out:
We've got bubbly on ice, a sparkly dress in the closet and the perfect shade of lipstick with which to finish off our perfect pout for maximum New Year's Eve kissability (laced with essence of bacon to bring the men a-flockin', mmm-hmm). The only thing missing? An eligible bachelor to plant one on! But thanks to Hollywood's extra-fruitful yield of hotties—a veritable bumper crop of men we'd like to, y'know, bump crops with—we're all ready to make a selection from one of several primo hotties... with your input, of course. We've got hunky tributes, wallflower dreamboats, shirtless superstuds, singing revolutionaries, and yes, for the last year ever, a sparkly vampire who's looking for love. Which of these good-looking guys would you most like to forget auld acquaintance with as the last seconds of 2012 tick away? Pucker your lips and get clicking!
When this Boy Meets...Girl?
Congratulations are in order for former "Boy Meets World" star Rider Strong, who is engaged to long-time girlfriend Alexandra Barreto, E! News confirms.
The couple met while working on the short-lived series "Pepper Dennis." Rider reportedly popped the question on December 26 with a ring he made himself!
Rider, however, isn't the only former "Boy Meets World" star to become affianced of late. Danielle Fishel announced on her Tumblr earlier this month that in addition to graduating college, she became engaged to her boyfriend, whom she met while tutoring. (Um, adorable!)
